My N15 5-door GTi Build...

Wicked, car looks awesome in that pic.

Very good figures aswell considering. Torque is nice!

What diameter exaust system is on there?

Be interesting to see the difference with a stainless header too.

I'm very pleased with the torque yeah :)
I've got a 2.5" stainless catback, and 2.5" Decat pipe too.
Header would have made a difference I think.. but I'm going turbo asap so, it'd be a waste!

Here's the printout! :

^ nice work buddy, you should be happy considering its still on oe manifold. shows the cams are working nicely too.

^ that 5600 cross over is odd, iirc its 5252. Horsepower = Torque x rpm / 5252.

ive also read that cars with underbonnet induction kits would be advised to run with the bonnet down, the reason for this is that a direct blast of air from the cooling fan onto the filter can disturb the airflow around the MAF sensor, this can cause the car to over or under fuel.

Nice thread mate very interesting , just a thought have you changed the fuel pump for a Gti One ? ill check on the nissan system for you tomoz, to double check if there is any diffrence , Well done Great thread Dan

What does the crossover mean then?
And I've not upgraded my fuel pump yet no, I've got a walbro on the way though :)
You can feel the power 'kick' in at around 5000rpm, its wicked :)
Joe

Think you will notice a diffrence with your new pump ,

he means the cross over on ur graph, have a look its on ur graph, would think its just as the engine has warmed up ,

I understand what the crossover actually is, but I don't understand what it means when it crosses over at different RPM's etc.
I'm hoping the fuel pump will make a difference, I've also got a Nismo fuel pressure regulator to fit :)
Joe

every engines dyno torque and bhp lines should cross @ 5252rpm ie both torque and bhp the same at this point. its the universal equation that links torque and horsepower, If not then the graph is wrong.

Fueling is pretty good top end. Strange about the crossover point and no correction either. Dyno graphs are shite!... does it feel fast?....thats all that matters.

Yup the torque is measured in NM, annoyingly.
It does feel fairly fast when you get to the top end of the rev range yeah :) just ask Tommo lol.
Its great, I love it!

mine was in Nm as well dude. just converted yours to 149.7lb/ft. good guess at 150 when i text you back this morning lol

as for top revs, that text on the way back from our end the other week said it all  on aother note..... ;) .....is the primera box shorter than a gti box?

I really don't know..
I've heard the ratios in 1st, 2nd and 5th are longer? It may be just a myth though..
I hope to find out very soon as I'm planning to swap to my Almera GTi box for shakeys this coming weekend.. And it'd be pointless if they're the same box!
