My N15 5-door GTi Build...

I'm glad they arrived in time. They look lovely. I'm glad they went on to a Red car too (mine was red) and I think they suit that much more than on any other colour.

They took me about a month to find in Japan and then it was only by chance.

I'd say deglobe them though.

i thought id put them in your thread dude as we were getting the shinyness :D

A 5 door shouldn't look that nice. I actually prefer it to a 3 door there. Its beautiful. Yours doesn't look like a boat like mine.

Can't put my finger on what it is. Maybe it's the lowering? Or just that the front lights change it's complexion.

Lowering changes the car completely.
Look at the mids meet pictures.. Mine was lower with no bodykit than standard GTi's with the bodykit..

Fantastic thread - just read all 23 pages.

Fair play fella for doing some thing different. Have you thought about any track days with it?

I bet it dosen't look like its had all that work done to it when you see it driving around does it mate ;)

And yeah, I've done a few quarter mile drag days, and I'm going to a track day at Curborough spring circuit next month :)
Joe

Ive only seen it parked up to be fair. Like most cars its nigh on impossible to judge what has been done (and more importantly how well it has been done) with a casual glance.

Curborough is a tight twisty sprint circuit, i reckon you'd be better off on a proper big circuit. Im booked on a MLR (mitsi lancer register) trackday at Castle Combe soon.

Yessss definitely upgrading.. As this new nissan one hasn't handled the extra power/torque at all lol.
Staying N/A.. Hmmm thats an interesting question.. If I can get a 13s quarter mile N/A then I'd think about staying N/A permanently. I don't really want the unreliability thats associated with boost.. But the power would be fun.
I also don't think it'd be very nice to drive daily if it was boosted up..
Joe

Are you sure it's going to be turboing it that would make it less nice as a daily? Maybe the harsh ride or the insanely loud exhaust might contribute too :P

Ride is fine :thumb:

But yeah noise is a problem lol. I think the heavy clutch is something you can get used to. But for me it was the no power before 4k, then SUDDENLY, LOADS of power. Tricky on hills and stop starts heh. Tonnes of fun otherwise though :D
