My N16 Almera

Good news mate glad its up and running again :) Nice finding the cheaper-than-nissan-dealer timing chain too!

Get some pics up when it comes back! :D

I owe that one to the dude further up the thread!

I WILL be at banzai Chris, barring a catastrophe.

Hopefully get pics at banzai of it :) Won't have time friday/sat to get any done I dont think.

Neigh on £500 lighter and cursing about being without it for nearly two weeks It took me all of 2 miles to fall in love with the car again.

Put my sub and amp back in it too. No pics as its now pee'ing it down.

So following the slight sidetrack of the timing chain, I booked it into a relatively local specialists to get the coilovers done and suspension set up and possibly exhaust modded to accomodate lowering...

well...

Along the M8 and BANG...pothole hit it hard as didn't really see it with the driving rain on the road...got to the place and had a look under the car and the bolt that's welded to the rear beam that holds the bottom of the rear driver side shocky in place is cracked and broken meaning that it needs to be cut out and a new one welded in.

Can't get bits till at least monday/possibly tuesday. Should be sorted and lowered for the weekend though...assuming it doesn't fucking catch fire or some shit.

Not having luck here.

not having much luck

we have all been there , having problems with modifing our cars, but you will be happy once its all fixed

Suspension was being fitted at CAS in Shotts because I thought they may require to modify the exhaust. It turned out they didn't. I went to CLCM in Edinburgh who set me up i.e. adjusted the camber etc.

Couple quick pics. Hopefully get better pics at EDC tomorrow. You can see how much lower it is when compared with pics earlier on in the thread.

I thought about it long and hard tommo!

I've come to the conclusion that I don't like the p2 lights with the p1 bumper. I quite like the wee bits of silver accentuating the red and black. Not overkill, just nice.

Looking good mate. Go lower though ;) I was searching the site re lowering springs info and came accross alota old threads and found your first thread and you said you wern't gonna do that many changes to the car! Lol!

i see your point dude, any plans for a front splitter of any variety?

Wouldn't mind a splitter, just trying to weigh up options of which ones would be best.

I took the "almera" badge off, but kept the nissan badge, I think it balances the rear out nicely with the which bits in the rear clusters.

I did say I'd get some proper pics so here goes
