My QG18DE powered pulsar Q

Fuse box is staying put. I'll be relocating the air box to on the battery tray like rob did on his setup yrs ago. This will allow for intercooler Pipe work
 
Seriously tidy N16 mate! look into 20mm spacers for the rear wheels, think that'd just set the whole car off, not that it really needs it!

Also nice bay! What are you going to fill the space with? ;)
 
so i've lost all my previous posts from the last 2 months.

as those who have been following my thread know i'm in the process of organising the final pieces for the turbo conversion. i've fitted the nismo lsd and in the past week i've mounted the intercooler and looking at finishing up the intercooler piping. The car is booked in to have the exhaust done on tuesday. Then the only thing to be holding me up will be waiting for the patched rom file to come back from uprev so the car can be tuned.

No thanks mate - we haven't had a summer for about 3 years, not in the north anyway ! Mind you, after 2 winters with heavy snowfall this one has been the mildest for a long time :confused:
 
I've just received a reply email from UpRev. All going well, my ROM file should be patched by this time tomorrow :)
 
Had the dump back exhaust fitted to the car today. Pretty impressed with it.

The blokes took about 4 hrs, including a smoko to weld it all up. I got them to put a flange where the stock mid pipe bolts to the cat, so I could put the stock na manifold and mid pipe back on the car, while I sort out the final pieces for the turbo
 
The past week I've spent tidying up little bits and pieces. I've been having issues with the sunroof, and then finding someone to fix it. Nissan didn't want to touch it. I found a company here that was extremely helpful, and we worked out that the motor had skipped a few teeth and was out of alignment. The motor was making a really bad noise, so i was advised to replace it.

as i was heading on my way to the wreckers, my air con gave way, and lost all its gas. This was due to a hose rubbing on a rough spot on the back of the radiator support.

I've just received my patched files back from uprev. I've got my intercooler pipes down being welded and the injectors off being cleaned. So basically once i get the cooler pipes and injectors back, i'll be off to go see my tuner, and book the car in to be tuned with the turbo on.

yea ed, I cant wait! i'm hoping to have the cooler pipes/injectors back by tuesday. That way I can run the car out to my tuner, give him a run down on the car, and see when I can get it booked in.(i'm aiming for friday)
 
Extreme you have QG18DE and you fixed turbo charger ? did you have any problem at all ???

The turbo isn't running on the car as yet. But i'm in the final stages of the build. Give me a week or 2 at most, and it'll be fully tuned. My only concern atm, is maxing out the MAF. but the qg18de uses the same maf sensor as the qr25de's so i'll hit the blokes up on b15u.com and see what the consensus is over there.
 
Nothing major done on my car today. I've just reinstalled the roof lining after replacing the sunroof motor. I'm slightly disappointed that my car has an almera roof lining, considering its a Pulsar :P
