N16 DCi-R

haha.

I'm looking at getting a set of 16's for the track soon. something that will clear the 4pots and fitted with yokohama a048's

Yeah these will double as track wheels too :-)

Chunk they're nice but still feel 16s are too small for N16 lookswise.

Lol well they'll sit nice for sure and with their colour too :-) but usual lip issues making it look smaller although the 8j/slight stretch will counter that slightly. Handling is definitely better with the 205/45/17 though.

They do Liam. Bought 16s because Winter tyres go up about £30 a tyre when you go to 17s! Plus I want 195 width for winters no point going wider and you cant get 195 in 17s. Have my reasons ;)

So they're a really nice bronze/gold in person

Plenty of caliper clearance. Loving the 'forged' stamped in the middle. Specs are 16x8 ET30 5x114.3.

That's not the first reason, just a result of what i have now.

Wanted 195/55/16 as reasonable price for winters, plus narrower is better when/if snow is concerned. But bought winters mainly for icy/cold/wet conditions not necessarily the snow.

These wheels came up within budget and they're nice and the wheel whore in me couldn't say no even though i could have bought the 6.5J cast silver versions from another guy (but i probably would have just ended up buying spacers for them as well to bring them out nicely).

But i went ahead because i found out 195/55 on 8J doesn't look THAT silly and is still safe. But obviously with 8J ET30 up front having that slight stretch is actually needed to get past rubbing.

Sorry needed to say all that to properly answer your question.

I agree that 17's look better on the n16 than 16's.

The biggest problem is tyre selection. Not much out there in 205/45-17 in the way of r comp semi slicks. This is the main reason I think I'll stick to 16's.
