Almera won't make it to JAE again :( Got a pretty good idea why it won't start though plus a few other issues came up which I hope are an easy fix. Thanks for AOC folk for helping me work through it.

The clutch also didnt feel right. I didnt get a chance to put in the new clutch slave cylinder so hoping that solves it, and will finally send off for Hel to make a braided clutch hose at the same time.

I was so close though, all that was left to do was bolt in the dash and put on front wheels. That's literally all.

Such a pity but wow some amount of work already completed in a short amount of time so well done for that all the same Ed ;)

She's running. Started instantly first time after priming the turbo. Impressed after being stood for so long.

Moved all of two foot but couldnt change gear. Going to try adjusting the clutch cylinder/pedal, and if that doesn't work I'll just have to wait for the braided line to then fit new slave.

Needed to prime the turbo first, and ran out of juice with all the cranking to do that. Ordered a charger for the Lithium battery before JAE and charged it yesterday. Used the prim battery to crank/prime, and once that was done used the fully charged Shorai lithium battery to start her.

That aside though still have the clutch issue and at the time it looked like a wiring problem affecting ignition but I think that was a combination of low battery power and slightly corroded solenoid connector.

oh ran out of volts in priming the turbo, i read it as you didnt prime the turbo. you've done enough turbo swaps to known whats what, but when rushed we all do dumb $hit lol

No way was I going to rush that, always prime the turbo first before ignition.

You were sooo close on Thursday. Must have taken some discipline to stick to your cut-off time for fiddling. Great to see it nearly done now, though!

Yeah shows how close I was. Wasn't worth the risk though and just as well with clutch needing adjusting, battery needing charging, and ABS warning (which I had before I took it off the road). Will be getting it MOT ready ASAP then sorting the rest of the mods over the next couple of weeks to complete.
