stus got me hooked on orange now :D ... want it everywhere ... lol

just wondering how are you going to fix up your bumper... i can kainda remember u saying somthing about bolting the grill down to the bumper and some sort of reinforcement... but i was soo nackered i have forgoten most of it... :D

That's pretty much it Rob. Plus sand it back to filler, then apply some strong ass kind of filler over the top like fibreglass filler or there's even one you can buy with carbon in it. I've also got some fibre tissue which can go on thinly.

I kinda would like to start fron scratch as I know I could build it lighter, stronger and better next time. Ah well. This should fix it though...and if it doesnt then maybe that would tell me I do have to start from scratch. Cross that bridge when/if I come to it.

Cheers :)

Yeah I've got 'bumper filler' which is surposed to be flexible. But I need something strong underneath that too to stop movement between the grille and the bumper. I thought I did the first time round but obviously it just wasnt strong enough.

A few things done today because I was getting restless with the modding....*is still waiting for stage 2*. MOT this week.

-Fitted polly exhaust hanger.
-Made up bracket for catch tank.
-Painted coolant tank cap.
-Lacquered rad cap.
-Lacquered calipers.
-Fitted new pads and discs.

Sticking with the orange then

Looks good, wasn't sure with the sample picture you sent me but liking it now it's on :) Good work mate!

Sticking with the orange then

haha yeah I'm kind of leaning towards it.... Loved that I found an orange polly exhaust hanger :D. Meant for the mini.

Need to hide the battery next, or have been thinking about getting a lightweight one. Red too so shouldnt stand out too much from the theme :).

They really arent that hard! The foliatec stuff is brush on anyway. So just mask up the major bits and remove the discs and pads and you're away! A rotary wirebush for your drill helps get rid of the surface rust nice and quick :).
