Cheers, good to know... I swapped the much cleaner (almost pristine) yellow caps over between the 2 GTi's the other day and suddenly started thinking of doing the rocker cover to match rather than the red I'd been planning. So got a lot of choice now

EBC's standard range. Pads are EBC ultimax/standard. Bougth the lot from ebcbakes.biz for £79.65 delivered. Which is cheaper than going to ebcdirect and using the AOC discount code. hmph.
Indeed. I've got them ready to go on. However the orange is a tad pale/light, so they could do with a very light smoke to darken it down a bit to match the lens in the headlight cluster.

The side repeaters are a good idea but I think amber lug nuts would finish it off (well better than the blue ones you had before anyway)

Not going down the coloured wheelsnuts route again. A silly buy at JAE. Works really well on Stu's car but not on mine with the polished rim. If my wheels were all black, then I might think about it. But can you get orange lightweights?

Don't do it Ed - looks a bit Chav in my opinion, would spoil the good results you've achieved so far.
Yeah I think I agree. It's why they left my car and got sold on soon after fitting them .
Had my MOT just now. Needed 2 new tyres, rear pads and discs. Annoying as I'd just bought new fronts and could have orded them along with for cheaper (and with no labour costs). c'est la vie. at lest it passed otherwise. Cost has left me feeling raped though...

does look great now... the orange works well with the gun metal rotas... are you still thinking about respraying the entire wheel gunmetal?? or are u going to keep the lip for the moment?
For the moment it's staying. It still looks good in my eyes but I want a different look for the car. They'll be going all gunmetal at some point. I want a special finish though, so it kinda looks like pewter. I've seen wheels with the finish I want but dont have a phrase of code for what it is. I like the gunmetal finish on the GTR wheels for instance.
poweder coated would be your way forward then.. find the colour you want an just keep searching for the code
