N16 SR16VE

Good effort on the wheels mate. Completely changes the look of them. Put me in mind of Radium's rims on his mint N15. Get the set done and PROFIT!
 
thanks guys, the other 3 will be done over Monday/Tuesday, then Wed/Thursday will be pulling the rear axle with disc setup off the other mera, refurbing it with poly bushes and 279mm prim rear brakes. Friday front bottom arms get poly bushes, then Saturday put it all back together along with a front arb from leem and some h&r springs off kingy, and that will be the running gear done until I get the coilies repaired/refurbed/rebuilt.

after that the todo list will be down to

fit sport+ interior - have
fit 4 pot skyline front brakes - have calipers, need redrilled discs
fit daughterboard to either my ve ecu using the jap board or go de ecu with tunercode and upcoming nemu board
fit coilovers - have but in need of repair
fit Newman n1 cams and gspec camgears - have
fit gspec afpr - have
full respray in a better red than z10 - yet to decide on colour
paint and fit sport+ skirts and spoiler - have
stroke to 2l and possible o/bore to 88mm - have parts for stroking
t25 sized tubby - have tubby and ex mani, need intercooler + plumbing, recirc dumpvalve, downpipe etc

dunno which order they'll be done in but nistro and myself were talking about chucking a tubby on it as a 1.6 and thinking it could be fun :)

Tubby FTW with the flow from this engine. Quite a list and worthwhile mods all of them, makes me want to pull my finger out & get my N16 sorted mech-wise.

on a low boost 1600, how so? spins up quickly and will give more power in the low to middle range where the 16ve needs it. then when the time comes step up to a t28 for the 2l like others have ;)

I would never put a T25 on a VE, i wouldnt even put one on a GA16.

You'll just end up choking the engine with loads of reversion and probably make 200hp at 12psi.

Honestly dude, thats the worst turbo for a VE.

Depends which turbo we are talking about.

The Garret T25 used in the UK is that of the S13 CA18DET, and flows enough for about 230hp at 1BAR. Its smaller than the GT22 turbo i used on my GA.

The T25G on the S13 SR20DET (non UK models) however, is specced more like a common T28..so yeah that would be fine but not easy to source which i why i can only presume you mean the CA18DET version. If not, a T28 from a GTiR or S14 is still going to be much easier to find and perform better...

Turbo's from the Bluebird and Silvia with SR20DET engine come with T25G turbo's:
U12 Bluebird T25G, M24, Exhaust A/R 0.64, Compressor A/R 0.80
S13 Silvia T25G, M24, Exhaust A/R 0.64, Compressor A/R 0.80

Turbo's from the S12 200SX (CA18DET) are T25 turbo's:
S12 200SX Turbo (CA18DET) T25 is A/R Exhaust A/R 0.49, Compressor A/R 0.48
 
no probs, though if they are the same size then you might need to lengthen the mounting holes at the gearstick end so the gearstick sits properly, here's a pic of the modification I had to make
