N16 SR20DE

I think that if your QG was healthy enough you'd have gone that way but as it seems to drink oil then the SR comes back into play. No matter what heart is beating under the bonnet the body looks great anyway.

Liam you might find that a rehone and a set of oversize rings will be enough to bring the qg back to full operating status, and if you stuck with the high comp qg you were planning it would be a unique build (although as you say costly) but if your talking bang for buck you can't argue against an sr20 swap, and with the info that is now available regarding the swap it will be much easier to do it yourself to a much better standard than your first one was :)

PS I'm just picking those up just now so I'll get them shipped tomorrow mate

That would have been such a nice idea, what engine is in the Juke could well be an option soon as these start coming off the road etc?

Unfortunately it's likely to be a few years before any of the new tech engines are available - only chance is knowing a local breaker & putting a word his way if a crash damaged Juke came in . . . . . . Even then, they'd probably charge bigtime for it !

There will be plenty in the scrap yards after winter when the housewives try to run their kids to school in their new shiny ''4x4'' and bin it into a ditch or something........

Done some shopping;

  • 310mmx30mm EBC Front Discs, Caliper Brackets & Front Braided Lines
  • Z32 4 Pot Calipers
  • 278mm Bosch Primera Rear Discs
  • Brembo Z32 Front Pads
  • Brembo N16 Rear Pads
  • Rear HEL Braided Lines
  • Rear Caliper Brackets
  • 1L 5.1 Brake Fluid
  • 2x 400ml Aerosol Waxoyl (for rear beam)
  • 2x VHT Black Paint
  • 5mm Wheel Spacers (just in case)
  • Front Wishbone, Rear Beam, Gear Selector, Steering Rack & Drop Link Polybushes
  • Blow Torch (to fit the above)
  • Scalpel kit (to remove the side skirts to fix teh bubbles)

Now just to wait for this little lot to arrive and once its all fitted its time to sort the engine (after sorting the rear arch)

nice parts list there mate, our cars are going to be twins but for the engine and bodykit lol, what rack bushes did you order as i have all the rest but wasn't sure if the rack bushes from the b15 were the same as ours?

Phil I just ordered N15 bushes as I couldnt find any B15 ones. They were only $6 so if they dont fit ill sell them on :) But after ordering I looked at the parts diagrams and they are mounted differently, one bush may fit tho.

Thats the idea Joe. It drives like a bag of shite at the moment, so if I can get it driving good ill get some love back, then ill have the motivation to get the engine in :)

Yeah you can have dibs on the rack bushes, just have to wait and see if they fit mine first.
