The clutch has however fixed itself. Pedal and bite point has been perfect for 2 days now. Also fitted the gearknob I got for xmas, has made shifting a little easier and its quite tall, so the gear stick is only 15-20cm from the steering wheel Power Shift y0!
Its awesome, almost as quick as my last one, but with no mods as yet! Good engine for sure! Everyone loves a shiny car. Washed, clayed areas, washed, dried, SRP'd, Collinite'd, Glass Polished, Trim Geld'd and AG Extra Gloss Protection'd. Yum. Bonnet actually feels like glass.
But the thing that is really annoying me... Pic 3. The door looks a different colour than the rest of the car, its only from some angles so its obviously the way the paint has been applied (to the car) when it was resprayed/repaired. But its a little complaint compared to the fun of the SR, especially with that 'All smoke' sticker, which is giving people the impression its a slow dog.
Thought I'd show you my cut down exhaust system...
Thats what I cut off...
Today I decided to relocate the battery to the boot.Started by having to extend the power cable for the fuse box, original one on the left, new one fitted...
Starter feed moved, there was a conveniently placed clip where the old QG loom used to sit...
Starter and fuse box feed into the junction box...
Couldnt think of any other way of securing the junction box on the back of the suspension turret, so the gaffa tape came out...
A bit more space now. Just need to cut the fuse box bracket off the old battery tray so I can mount the f/b properly...
Battery in boot, used a Micra battery tray as it was smaller, also had a genuine Nissan battery in the garage so used that. Connected up with quick release terminals (thanks Rick!)...
Am going to order a plastic battery box to put over it, will stop anything interferring then.
Cars looking sweet Liam, but shouldn't you have a gel battery if you are mounting it in the boot especially as you have no ventilation for the gases given off from the standard battery?
the 2nd to bottom picture of post 712 just looks so damn mean. Your car looks absolutely awesome mate. A genuine credit to you and the work that's been put in
The only thing I'm not too keen on is the red in the seats I'd have personally gone for a dark grey like the paintwork but it's all preference.
One of the many car's I'm looking forward to seeing at Japfest but I pity the person parking next to you lol
Fixed the clutch issue the other day, found a perfect sized spacer for the slave cylinder... A metal dust cap. Clutch is absolutely cock on now. Also removed all the stickers, looks alot cleaner and realigned the front engine mount.
