Simcards Autechish GTi+T

MIG i think. Sorry i'm not a pro welder. Just do the odd jobs on exhausts/sills and what not.

When its running its getting a nice jet wash for extra bling!

Ah, ok.

If you can MIG then you can TIG dude.

I will be wanting a system made in a few eons is all and I refuse to bend over for the likes of Powerflow etc etc

Price of stainless tube (Jetex) is well reasonable like.

have you done tig welding its completly different! mig is point and shoot if you can tig you can mig not the other way round.. tig welding exhausts is all well and good but it takes such a long time moving pipe around getting set back up resharpening the tungsten tip then you run out of filler and theres non to hand! its allright in a nice clean workshop working on a manifold but huge lengths of pipe that will be under a car anyway! mig the fucker :D

if your gona make your own you'll need 3 right angle beds and a couple of 45 deg bends plus a couple of flanges..

simcard why not just swap the rail? 3 10mm bolts and 2 pipes is alot easyer than 8 phillips that will round off :( im sure you can change the rail without having to take the top off you have to pull it out sideways just dont loos the injector seals..

Good luck Sim mate.
I'm sure it'll be something trivial.
Congrats also by the way, although they will be more relevant once its running haha.

What I mean't by my above quote was that if his hand is good enough at MIG then he'll be able to TIG, not that its the same.

Suppose you could use stainless wire and MIG it.

I'd build it on the bench not under the car!

Haha, nice one bert.

Seems everyone is doing something with their motors this year, 2009 AOC is coming along nicely.

On the button.

How's it feel?

Will it be run in for York?

Top marks musho.

I have literally only just let it warm up. Seems very free revving even though ive only rev'd it to 3k. I need to warm it up again tomorrow, drop the oil, replace then go for a lil drive. I've got 1000 miles to get in before york!

100 miles in, everythings ok but the release bearing is being noisy when it chooses. Will have to take the box out to find out the cause but might as well wait for the new gearbox to arrive, which might be a while now...

Anyways, took some pics at the mount tonight....
