updates on the n14 vvl/ nos/ lsd project

Hmm. Fiddling with timing would be a good shout. My old GTi needed cranking over and jumping for ages with WOT to start it for the first time.
Try removing the sparkies/injector plug and cranking it over to clear it if it's flooded.

If the plugs are soaked in fuel, it will be flooded. take the injetor plugs off and crank the car over with WOT till it fire's up, if it was the imobiliser you would not have spark or fuel. Taking the plugs out will tell you alot.

Also is the car cranking over fast enough (are you useing a fully charged battery?) if not the car will struggle to start due to voltage drop causing the ecu to shut down (anything below 11.4v if i remember correctley).

That could be it for the WIN.

Thanks:corbs:

Un-plug the lambda sensor too, if that is soaked in fuel it can shut the injectors down.

No the battery is very weak and always needs charging.

Thanks for input.

Will put all the comments together and see what I can do.
Thanks

find some one that can fix it,not some one that can fuck it up

Unfortunately mate, this is the only car that has had a problem starting on me.From all the performance cars I have had in the past and conversions carried out.
I am sure and hope it is a simple fix as I am taking advice and help from fellow members.
No i am no mechanic but I try to learn as I go along, hence questions.

It's not my everyday car so it's trial and error, if it fcuks up, as you say, then, I will have FAILED.
Who cares, break it and I go.

However if I get this engine started then this will be the start of extreme madness with the plans I have for this car.
Sr20ve/Nos/then turbo charging.

I am going for one last go before I hang the boots up and settle down with the misses and make some babies...lol

Buddy change back to the maf that is correct for the ecu you are running.

Double check your wiring job on the dizzy. Triple quad and pent check it to whatever craig can tell you about how his is wired up.

Use de injectors if you have a set.

Stock fpr? Do it.

Make as much stock as possible.

Almeraturbo shut up... Not being helpful... You wouldnt like it if nos piled into you if your engine failed

woah, i didn't realise you had ve injectors and almera maf in before mapping?!!!!

get the sunny maf and de injectors in fo sho

i can't help on the ve dizzy though cos mine's on the de one. Tbh that sounds like a very likely problem imo, i'd be gettin a de dizzy from somewhere too
