What DONT you like about the almera?

The fact that when you tilt the seat, it doesnt go back to the position it was in.

Spot on!

Don't think I've tilted the driver seat forward since discovering that. It's so annoying.

In no particular order . . . .

Turning circle.

Seats not resetting after tilting.

Rear view mirror is too low so when taking a left hander I have to duck my head a little to see under it.

The 'kangarooing' is a pain but I just squeeze the loud pedal a little more :P

but I love the way it drives and sounds and the fact that most people think its a grandads car till I smoke them . . .

Trug

Rattles, turning circle, lift off over steer, not designed for peope who are 6'4'' as i cant see with the visor down, gay mirror vibration, rear lap belt is shit.

It pi**es me off when people say... what did you buy one of them for???? like my old boss what a w**ker, he always used to take the p*ss out of my car then he used to say his Citroen XANTIA! was really fast, how can you take the p*ss out of me when you own that!!!! it get's better, he sold it for a rover 400 turbo diesel woooooo hoooo FAST!!!! and he used to say that when the turbo kicked in it was fast, and i was thinking in my head, what a f**king t**ser i want to punch you in the face!! you went from a shit car to a even shitter car and your taking the piss out of me?? bet the rover was really fast, t**ser

you have issues

 I left that place with a bang! i was driving before and seen him driving just made me think of it

i dont like the visibility, my instructors fiesta wasnt great but it was pretty easy to judge distances in, iv probably driven the p10 a grand total of about 10 metres as i have to move it to clean it on the drive but thats so much easier to judge, i just cant get used to the almera in the same way, its acceptable but i never feel like i really know whats around me if that makes sense, the B and C pillars are pretty big though, and the A pillars are annoying at times.

tbh though i love it to bits, it has its faults at the moment but it puts a smile on my face and never lets me down, plus its fun to drive, exactly what i wanted from a first car.

All you people who are moaning about the turning circle, try an N16, then you'll see a truly appauling turning circle.

All annoyances have been pretty much said but i'll put mine in for the sake of it

Shit brakes
Rusty McRust rust
Oil filter is in an arse of a place
lack of seat "memory"
No catch to open boot on the boot
Central locking range is piss poor
Judder when cold makes you look like a mong
no indipendent rear suspension
too heavy
Should have used the VVL technology on every engine like honda used their equivelant on most of their sporty hatches
Shittest nuts evar used on top mounts.
Lack of imagination on the colours front.
No leather seat option.
No arm rest thingy on handbrake
and finally piss poor lower back support for us lankys and it might just be me but my right foot hurts like hell if i drive it for more than 2hrs at a time.

Seems like alot but i could name 10x more good points and i really was nitpicking!

I hate that the back of the driver seat does not adjust more, my perfect confortable position is between two of the settings, so I either a little too upright of a little to laid back

& just recently noticed that spare parts are pretty impossible to get anywhere but nissan & then they cost a fortune, just been quote £324+ VAT for a driveshaft

Lack of modifying parts is a pet peeve too!!

i hate the bland interior, the bland exterior, no seat height adjusting (i'm not tall, but i don't wanna feel like im in a van either!), in first gear going at 5mph and you kangaroo without the clutch lol

i do have more likes than hates though, and albeit the kangarooing, i'm changing the interior (rx-7 seats and reupholstered rears), and small external mods :)

Kangaroo-ing, Im getting a bit annoyed at that already and hardly driven the car since engine went in.

Random rattles

Rusty arches

random squeaks

nasty interior

front end styling

struggling to think of anything else i could fault it on really, handling and power is fine from an autech. never driven a gti though

Whats the cause of this Kangarooing?... ive noticed it with my GTI..

other than that the:

Lack of Seat memory ( My K10 HAD im sure.. )
No exterior boot release other than key...( Like most/all nissans )

same as what every one else said,
but also the rear towing eye that sticks out the rear bumper :rasp:
And not having an auto passengers window (but thats just being picky)

The front seats don't go back far enough for me and I find them uncomfortable.

Rust

P1 front splitter is a bitch to keep in one piece

Rear strut bar, when your trying to put something big in the boot then you remember its there.

Below 4krpm you can get caught out and have to change down etc etc

The fact people think its a 1.4 with a GTI badge

ive had 2 gti's and never noticed the kangarooing. lol
rust
interior
cubby hole underneith the heater dials,
no cup holder!
'live axle' rear suspension
price of parts from nissan,
little amount of upgrades for what is actually a good car!
oh, and the brakes, they definately need some work!

aside from all that it is a good car, and i regularly beat my mate in a fiesta st150 (which are meant to be quicker!) round the bends and in a strait line...so its not all bad!

 I've slayed about 3 Fiesta ST150's too hahaha!! In fact I beat one when the car was completely standard and that is saying something cos Almera's are heavier, and you'd have thought in a little car with 150 bhp it would have won for sure.

Not bad for an old motor that at the time had done 155,000

Yeah all my bad points have been mentioned...
Rust points
Kangarooing (although used to that now)
And yes Simcard i've noticed the weird juddering when cold mate too
Interior is ok could have been better but the seating is fuckin awful with the seats not going back to the same position.
Handling in wet is the worst i've ever known

I've never had an issue with the braking either mine is pretty bang on to be honest
