What DONT you like about the almera?

I got another pet peeve Nissan Dealers are unbeleivably expensive they should were a mask!!

Just got quote for wheel bearing fitted £181 !!!, garage round the corner £90!!

That's not just Nissan though fella, all main dealers charge shedloads more for labour...Nissan are pricey for parts and things though.

to be honest 180 quid for a nissan wheel bearing fitted bt nissan doesnt sound too bad considering what they normally rape people for.

so overall nothing really bad about the almera, good points hugely outweigh the bad points :):):)

My only niggle about the GTi (& this may just be me) is with the drivers seat @ its lowest position, I`m still brushing my head against the sunroof surround!

Haha! The kangarooing, yeah I remember that, mine could still be a bit jerky at ANY time, even when warm, if I dicked about with the throttle. It didn't take too long to get the hang of it though. A weird setup...

Nope, i get that too on my SRi.

Got another niggle - blending in new Alaska blue with old Alaska blue is impossible! Looks like i've painted my arches in a whole other colour!

Passed with flying colours, no advisories on a car thats done 114k, I love Nissans!

You're lucky! my gti needed o/s front and rear wheel bearings, rear discs and pads and an o/s front wishbone. cost the wrong side of £400 and that wasn't dealer prices either.

I've read the kangerooing thing is cos the almera has 1 throttle position sensor whereas primeras have 2. Oh and I hate the rust thing too!

it is possible! the bodyshop that did mine got it spot on, i cant seem to get a decent touch up pen from anywhere though so it could well be hard to match and he was just highly skilled.

iv got another fault aswell that may have already been mentioned, copper grease costs next to nothing yet nissan didnt use a single drop on any part of my almera, or our p10 either, makes taking things apart especially underneath the car a pain in the ass :(

All this talk of rear beam suspension being shit??? The new Civic Type R is rear beam as honda found it more efficient and better suited to the cars chassis than an indepandant set up. So it cant be that bad.

It was apparently a very advanced design of rear suspension when the almera came out in 95

Rear arches starting to bubble slightly on my Phase 1.
Apart from that, nowt to complain about here.

I alway found the turning circle relatively good!

...Now my old 306 Rallye, holy shit! - Boeing 747's have a tighter turning circle!
