Thats what I thought GTI Kurt. I don't do track days etc so don't need massive amounts of braking. Think the gti upgrade with pads, and fluid will be right. I do push the car at times but not as much as I would on track. You think i should go for drilled/groved discs to? Thanks for help guys. Much much appreciated

FTO Calipers and Carriers etc £100 (used)
Pads £40
Clio 172 disks £50 (Or even Megan Coupe disks etc)
Spacers £40 (space the wheel with 5mm spacers so caliper clearance is'nt an issue £25)
Bit of labour £50
Include around £40 for bits and pieces etc
Total=£500 maximum
You could probably get a few other little jobs done underneath while its in the air.
IMO your brakes are never big enough.
But I suppose it depends what you are carrying.

Right, quick update. Got ma sills done on fri at the pretty little cost of £140! 
but at least its done now before the winter kicks in. Looks a bit of a mess right now me thinks, but not too bothered. Gonna put skirts on soon so it'll all get hidden . Gotta spray ma arches where i started fixing them so i might give sills quick lick of paint to.
Got a decat pipe from 200sx which i tried to fit but the damn bolts on the cat are rusted as fook. gotta wait till sat till this badboy goes in :lol: Stupid question but does the decat go in a direction? Cheers

cant believe it cost that much man as i said in my thread it cost me two packs of 20 fags to my dads workshop floorman and that was done with stainless . am glad my dads manager of a stainless company its a life saver

Ok, been real busy this weekend geetin motor sorted for northern meet. Went halfords sat and couldn't find ma paint!!! argh....so I rang Garnzy and got some helpful advice from a fellow northern monkey lol. 20 min later and i walk out with 2 cans of colour matched paint cans, 2 primers and 2 laquers costing...........£50 squidaloonies!!!! bloody rip off! oh well.
So I set about repainting the sill work I had done recently along with the arches. Then I thought might as well do the door handles too. Heres a few shots of the work so far. Still got to do another final topcoat and laquer top up as its run on one handle and bit on arch. Think I'm gonna leave bump strip black.

Ya might have noticed I've put the old alloys back on.Thats coz I'm in middle of refurbing the Gti's. Here's a few pics of the progress......Only one wheel so far others are being rubbed down preped ready for painting on primer....Then spray primed and top coating....I'll not disclose whai I'm gonna do just yet but it should look good once done and fitted (not seen any one else's GTi alloys like this).....watch this space

Told ya I been busy this weekend lol. Been cleaning up and preping ma new...ish GTi brakes which I got sorted by Ritchi (nice one pal) give em a good clean ready for painting with help from my little assistant lol Getting them ready for installing some EBC green stuff pads next weekish once I done the CV joint, installed the lowering springs and shocks from Ross (thanks mate) and the GTi wheels are done......oh nearly forgot to say, taking ma bodykit which I finally fixed up to get sprayed and installed......Lots to do before the meet but can't wait till next weekend to get stuck in again :lol:

Well, I'm kinda going for an ice style theme for car with the crystal lights and colour coding. Wheels should compliment this look and add to the slight colour coding........Its prob not gonna wow the pants off ya but when they're on the motor everything should look good.......I hope lol
