I did some photoshops a while ago. I thought No to the C-pillar and a yes to Paint the bumpstrips. Not remove them, colour code, 5 doors need something to break them up and i think bumpstrips work well. Especially your phase 2 ones.

Still think same about c-pillar mate? Think i might spray bump strips. but then i'm not sure lol.
 
i've got my new shoes for the drums and want to change the front brakes to gti upgrades. And i want to upgrade the fluid to dot 5.1. Question is, how do i go about doing this. I thought i should change the fluid and top up to same line then install new shoes etc. Other thinking is drain all the fluid out. Install new bits then fill n bleed. Not sure what sequence to do this in. Any help appreciated. A link to a sticky if there is one if poss. Thanks
 
Having seen this car in person today I have to say well done Bav!

The car is coming along really nicely and I can't wait to see it complete. Good luck pal :thumb:

Thanks mate. thats what i was told to. Rear GTi bumper on, skirts going on tomo and splitter. Now just waiting for exhaust to be done. Pics will be up soon.
 
Ok, its been a while since last update. Ive installed GTi Front brake upgrades, Mintex shoes and pads, dot 5.1 fluid. Wheels on, kit sprayed (Thanks Kristian , K-Kustoms):thumb:, Gti standard back box + mid section (Thanks Almera Bandit):thumb:, Front strut brace installed. All done except the front splitter. Not sure if should put it on or not. Places I'm going at moment speed humps ridiculous and will defo scrape. Any way here are the pics....let them do the talking. Views and comment welcome :lol:



















Engine bay at moment..... I'm changing filter soon to an enclosed cone type. Give the bay a good clean soon, after service next week end.



Few bits still need touching up but overall I'm very happy with job so far. :nana:

Keeping it as is with GA16DE in for while. Ecomony and performance quite good. Saving for van for work and hopefully if get a cheap engine etc I wouldn't mind going ........:VVL: or SR20 :lol:
 
Looks great Bav, get that splitter on I say!

Not sure on the rear lights though, i'd like to see a set of P1's with orange front indicators and side reps to match...
 
Thanks mate. Yeah I'm puttin front splitter on next weekend with bit of luck if get time. I'm not overly keen on rears either but they do look better in the flesh. Keepin eyes out for set of vzrs. At moment I'm going for an ICE/Clean look with car with 3 main colours red/black/white only. I've got some amber tint spray so could easily do indicators. But at the moment I'm happy with the Ice look lol. Hoping to come to North meet so you can see car in flesh and see if ya think different then mate.
