i decided that im gunna dump a well tund fully rebuild gti engine in. but few questions before i do. what elso will have to be upgraded/changed to cope//go with the gti engine. im guessing loom, ecu, gearbox, driveshafts, front wheel hubs, brakes, suspention, fuel pump and filter. plus will i have to change any or the resivoure bottles, are the same size or different outputs/feeding etc. joe u gotta link to your gti engine thread??

im still not understandin you m8, why spend mega money and effort swappin to a gti engine and havin to cock around with all the upgraded parts and get a cheap gti? theres a few knockin round on here for sale at a good price, then ya got a good base to work from cos its already got all the gti parts on it, or is that not easy enough?
 
Because then it'll be a genuine white N15 that's a GTi :D If he gets a GTi and wants it white then he'll have to fork out on a respray, but as Joe and Andy has shown, an SR20 conversion is very doable.

I recommend buying a cheap GTi as a donor as then you'll have everything you need..
 
sorry was reading joes conversion thread, very impresive. joe if ya fancy lending a hand when the time come to it i wont say no lol *checky*
1500 bit steep for me at the mo, need to sort finances out before start my gti project. does anyone know haw easy it is to remove the complete dash??
