just been out for a drive after fitting standard HT leads from the GTi and the standard airbox with a normal panel filter, car is lovely to drive now, not trying to stall when I pull up at lights etc :) seems to pull alot smoother and is more responsive. airbox FTW

bro you must LOVE not caring about paint no more, your soooo lucky.

edit - i try'd a WAI on my last dyno and for a while after, seems fine enough great sound but seem's to run out of puff after 6k.
with the airbox and cold air feed, throughout the revs its pull pull pullllllll

yum OEM fresh :)

almost washed it earlier, vacuumed out the inside instead that was the extent of it. might get round to giving it a rinse tomorrow

i like those gauges man very nice.

tho not knowing much about this sort of thing why are there two oil gauges(unless your turboed im lost) and how easy is it to wire gauges like that in ?

Ive only test fitted mine in the dash atm, theres 3 wires to wire in a live, ground and one to the lights, the rest are plugs that run to the appropriate sensors, just need a sandwich plate or something for the oil sensors and somewhere for the water sensor to go.

seem like a fair amount of effort to monitor stuff on a daily runner, if the autech is your daily. i mean the SR20 looked after is built proof. kinda seems like a vac or battery volt meter on your a post, like a gimmick. just my thinking

gauges are really worth it, the stock oil pressure sensor will only light up once the engine is toast so it is very useful to keep an eye on it properly. I've got oil pressure oil temp and water temp gauges in mine, well worth it. pretty simple too fit aswell, the easiest way to get the oil pressure and temp to work sam is to tee off the stock pressure sensor, all you need is a fee 1/8" fittings and a bit of hose. thats what i did, so much easier than fucking about with a sandwich plate. And for the water temp you need to cut an adapter into the top rad hose, you can get them off ebay
