Darrens N16

ed the input shaft and the bell housing will have to be the same on the p11 one for t to fit his block so i kinda see were he coming from - and most prob didnt wanna take the gearbox out to fit it for photo lol

well I took the picture as the N16 QG15DE clutch fits straight onto the P11-144 QG18DE input shaft so the spline count on the QG15DE should be the same as the QG18DE and SR20DE. I should have my SR20DE engine by tomorrow night.

I got this clutch because a OEM one was about a 100 quid the Stage 3 was only meant to be a extra 25 quid so that is why I went for it but turns out its about £155 all in.

in the picture there is also 2 drive shaft seals and more gearbox oil. I must of spent £30 quid on gearbox oil in the last week.

The P11-144 QG18DE gearbox might fit onto the SR20DE. I am going to try to mount the N16 QG15DE gearbox onto the SR20DE and if it fits then I can use the P11-144 gearbox.

Darren

but when you put the sr20 in - are you not just going to use the sr20 box aswell?
the P11-144 QG18DE should mate straight onto the SR20DE (well according to ebay if it fits then I got a P11-144 Gearbox QG18DE/SR20)

looking good mate, hows the quality x x
looks good :-)

Should be useful mate. Note the Nos and Major figures.

Well I can imagine they will swap over but you'll have less surface area using the QG clutch if you go by the exedy specs (inner diameter).

well yeah but I got the QG15DE clutch in at the moment and its slipping (gearbox leaking). I got a P10 SR20DE flywheel anyway so if its worn down that bad at least I can swap it over.

I just placed the XTD on top of the SR20DE flywheel and its fine :-)

so what darren has been saying is in fairness correct! since the splines etc are the same the only difference being that the surface area is bigger on the sr20 clutch

it will fit across the board, so an upgrade for the QG guys clutch could be the sr20 clutch for more surface area!

you would just have to check that it isnt too big for the QG flywheel, but then if your upgrading the clutch you may aswell upgrade the flywheel any ways

well im fucked now. clutch does not fit to flywheel. the flywheel on the QG15DE is smaller then the SR20DE (P10) it is smaller and thinner.

clutch is fucked due to gear box leaking into the clutch and gearbox is now scrap because when I put the gearbox back in a piece of metal fell into the bell housing/casing and then the flywheel dragged it round the gearbox fracturing it causing a leak. im going to get another P11-144 QG18DE gearbox and maybe a flywheel so that I can use the clutch.

THE QG15DE FLYWHEEL IS NOT THE SAME AS THE SR20DE P10 ONE. I MAY BE ABLE TO USE A QG18DE ONE FROM A ALMERA OR PRIMERA.

Darren

I could have told you that without trying *rolleyes*

Best of luck with the next one Daz.

its confusing as why will a P11-144 QG18DE gearbox fit on my car and is advertised on ebay as a 1.8/2.0 gearbox

unless the P10 SR flywheel is different but the QG18DE owners buy a lighter SR20DE flywheel as a upgrade

confusing.

no worries 2 options
get a P11-144 QG18DE gearbox + Flywheel and clutch

or stick with my QG15DE flywheel and clutch and use a P11-144 QG18DE gearbox

Darren

I got the front strut brace yestoday. I will go to the main factory and order from them next time.

I will also get
Sentra N16 16mm Rear Anti Roll Bar
Sentra N16 Front Lower Bar
Sentra N16 Room Bar

I may get the rear strut brace as well

I was wondering if any one can confirm that the white line N16 Rear Anti Roll Bar will fit a N16 Hatch. if the white line one will fit I will order the Ultra Racing one.

Darren

Wow. Going to be one serious mother fucking track bitch this.

Dog III eat your heart out.

Sorry Darren - if that bar had been halfway (or even a 1/3) up the B pillar, then I could see it making a difference to stuctural flex. But that low down, I bet you wouldn't feel any difference at all. But each to their own . . . .

Not buying it all would be cheaper imo. Like Paul says, each to their own.
