fidd's N16

Seems ok but I'd flip it upaide down so the inlet/outlet is point up, then just bring the IC down to suit. If you see the How To Upgrade Intercooler thread you'll see where the pipe routing can go :)

Cheers Ed ! Will have a look at that ! Whats your ideas on bumper look ? Don't forget to shop that photo for me ! Lol !

Ah yeah forgot the shop sorry mate.

Ideas on front bumper? Very subjective topic there....

Got mani and downpipe fitted ! Garage said waste of time getting the sports cat fitted as the mot emissions has changed again ! ( put original back on come mot time ) ! Now engine light is on ! Should i just go ahead and get it fitted anyways ? And then just get the lamda wiring extended ? It's also quite raspy ! Is that normal ? Would this be different with another silencer or sports cat fitted ?

So they are suggesting you replace mani & downpipe for mot? Err how about no if you have a custom system with a cat that isn't above the OEM db or deemed too loud then as long as car passes emissions where's the issue? I'll await someone with MOT conclusive knowledge but I'd say you should fit & extend wiring so engine light goes off.

As I said to you in another post the port where the second sensor goes in, get a short piece welded on to move the sensor away then reset the light. it works trust me as I have it done.

I think he was just talking about the sports cat.
The OEM cat is part of the manifold so to refit is a pain and nonsense imho! The sports cat will do the job and won't effect performance at all!

That didn't work for me as the light kept coming on with the extender pipe I bought and had fitted. So I went with the sports cat and all was well and no more light coming on when giving it some!

Mine worked so must be slightly longer.
I replace all mine every year but have thought about sports cat has yours gone through not yet with it on.

After I had mine fitted I took it to my local garage that does my MOT and put it on the emissions test and it sailed through hence my recommending it. Car is currently off the road so once it's finished it will be getting it's MOT and I don't doubt it will pass with the sports cat fitted.

Rich can you send me the make and a web link if bought online. As I'm going to get one fitted, so I don't have to do the change every year

I bought mine via ebay was a 2.25" magnaflow sports cat 200 cell, I'm sure Nige has a more upto date link then I have m8.

Sports cat will be fine. Mine passed the emissions firing on 3 cylinders. I dont know what the garage is on about as even if the emissions regs change it doesn't affect older cars as they are still the same 0.3% CO or whatever it is.

Alrite Phil ! All that's on at the minute is Obx Header and downpipe with a full stainless 2in system ! Not bad gains with just that ! No induction kit either yet ! Can't wait to get the charger kit on then hopefully I'm looking at about 180 - 190 BHP . Hopefully ?????

nice one nige wheres this dyno? local to us? mine will be back up and running next week so ill meet you for a bit crack n sum photos if you like mate??

Flywheel for sure. Still very good figures aswell, torque looks good. Almost a little too good considering the NVCT system.
