ARP Main Studs compared to stock

Hi Andrew, would like to know the part no for the arp main studs. Need to get it urgently as for my mechanic was rebuilding my engine back they lost my bolts.

Just wanna mention that the stock ignition coils are a major issue. I have had 3 fail on me :( Will discuss this more complete with research work on QG ignition coils in my blog.

Are you running them at the stock voltage or increased the voltage of them?

Everyone I've spoken to over here using aftermarket management has ran into massive ignition problems due to the coilpacks. The nissan coilpacks are a lot lower voltage than most setups.

I've contacted a bloke here, and the vq35hr coilpacks are slightly different. Boot lengths are different etc, but I'm almost certain the n16 boot will fit on the vq35hr coilpack.
So this means the splitfire's/okada project's will work aswell.

The only issue going this path is you'll need to cut off the stock mounting points and have new ones welded onto the cam cover.

I am currently testing the "newer" type coilpacks which supposedly have a resistor to control the voltage. Also I believe the major problem is not the voltage but the fact the stock coils can take very little dwell before frying its transistor.

Nice car bro. I am from SG by the way but currently working in France driving a 1.8 N16. Miss the times when i used to bring my civic in JB to mod!!;) Saw that you are from penang. Great Laksa!!! :D

Andrew,

Just wondering if you still have the part number for the arp head studs you used.

Checking over your blog, I noticed you've used ka24de studs. The arp catalog lists 2 different versions for the ka24.

Dave.
