would look cool with black centers with a polished lip mmmmmm

so time for an update :D

audio :D

Equipment consisting of

Source - Alpine 7998R w/ Alpine KCA420i iPod adapter

Amps/Speakers - 2x JBL 75.2 powering 2x sets Focal 165V30 6.5" components (the 2 JBL's will probably be changed for a DLS X-D40 4ch amp to help increase space due to extra batterys in the boot and to allow for a decent sized box for the RE XXX)

Amp/Sub - Orion D5000 powering 12" RE XXX v4

Power - standard 70amp alt, 3x Odyssey PC1700's, 0awg main feed and appropriate cabling to amps

Doors will be deadened with Dynamat Extreme, 2/3 rolls per side

so started off the other day by building the tweeter builds.

thanks for the comments, hope it sounds as good as it looks :D

should hopefully have the roof flexing by next weekend..... or maybe sooner

NICE!! But is the standard alternator goin to be able to power up all three batteries? I had a d5000 powerin a 15" HCCA, with three leisure batteries and my almera couldnt handle it. When it was playin the car wudnt pick up speed, it kept dropping voltage then my HU just use to cut out. I had to take it all out after two days. LOL. So now i got a small vibe cbr until i can get a proper alt.

i had the same setup in the rat, only 2 pc1700's though and the voltage only dropped to high 11's, no rev drop, no lack in loss of power even when booming at full tilt..... only thing that slowed it down was the weight lol

make sure you have done TB3, (the big 3) - batt pos to alt, batt neg to chassis, batt neg to engine block

when i first installed my setup (off a helfrauds battery btw) (2x jbl 75.2's (60amp)) ~500wrms and no big three, my lights dimmed and the revs dropped and that was only powering 1 set of compenents lol, when TB3 was done in 1/0 gauge all was ok!

Yh, I knew i shud hav tried TB3 but never bothered because i knew i wont be keeping it in the 1.4 for long. Ive been planning on getting a gti for a while now, just waiting on a few things, then you'll have some serious bass competition, lol. The HCCA is just waiting in a 5cf box tuned to 27Hz. Keep up the good work!

i had the re in a 4.5cuft after displacement and it dropped loooooowwwww :D tuned to 30hz, roof flexing ftmfw, rear view mirror was of no use at all as it ended up pointing at the floor all the time lol

was good driving along the motorway looking at the matrix boards, couldnt read them as they were justa blur, even looking at the reg on the car infront was funny.

and that was only 1 12" :D

i was feeding it the full 2.5kwrms :D and it loved it, only got a tad smelly once due to me not setting the subsonic correctly lol :(

the re has 54mm xmax and 108mm xmech, and is rated at 2kwrms. its never hit full excursion due to the shitty box design but it still massaged your back. dont think itl ever hit full xmax unless it was runnng free air. i let my mate hear it and he shit himself when the bass kicked in, i hit him with 'low' by flo rida :D
