Nice work mate, looks clean! The material on the enclosure looks kinda like my bath mat

will the parcel shelf not have an effect on the output of the sub?

lol, do you shop in tesco too?

i was oriaginally looking for shaggy run/sheepskin rug stuff but i couldnt find ANYTHING, tired dunelm mill, homebase, b and q, ikea and then came across them bath mats in tesco, could have got fuscia pink, black or lime green. i like it better than the shaggy rug idea i had first.

like this

no itll not effect the out put, however, the port area seems to have some 'slap' off it with the shelf material being close to it.

dunno about the red lip, will only draw attention to the wheel will only make the wheel look small and we all know 15's dont fill the arches that well on the almera. red calipers though :D

dont fancy spending 350+ to get them banded. 350 would be a great start to getting me a v nice set of alloys. 25 quid of paint and ive got them looking good as new now, if not better than what they were before IMHO.

car needs painted too so thats another reason to keep the steelies, that, and i love them anyway lol :D

i like them black and i still think they design of them makes them look smaller than 15 inch. for example..... look at the gti wheel on the back, looks big and chunky, whereas the g60 on the front looks small and puny. i dont know if its becasuse they are silver and draw attention to the wheel itself, or because the tyre profile is smaller on the front than on the rear. i think a black rim will help blend in with the tyre therefore help to reduce the illusion that they look smaller.

still think that a black rim with red clappers will look hardcore

got a price of £480 to paint the following

front bumper
front splitter
bonnet
both wings
rear bumper
vzr grille

also tempted to get the passenger rear quarter painted as it looks matte, hasnt been painted properly and the window line is starting to show white primer underneath..... decisions decisions

well havnt posted on here in a while, not much to update you all with but......

copied from other forum

well last night's antics involved undersealing the floorpan, tank, front arches (rears where done a few weeks ago), rear beam/axel.... and anything that i could manage to get at with the rear on the ramps, couldnt get the front end up on them even with wooden blocks lol.... stupid colivers, will have to take the bumper off. got the whole underside floorpan and the rear done though

also made the mistake of painting the plastic arch liners with the underseal, didnt really think at the time that when it comes to washing it ill get underseal all over the sponge.... therefore all over the wings it dosnt dry hard, stays tacky/flexible but not too tacky... soon see what happens. but the liners do look so much better than the dark grey faded look.

i used hamerite underseal with added waxoyl from hellfrauds.

also got the clappers painted red, maybe another coat tonight, 2 coats lastnight, need to get the discs painted on the non contact parts as they are gonna rust to sh!t if i dont, should really have done that when i got them fitted there but meh, not too hard to sort out now.

also need to get the toyos.... someone lend me money please, or fancy a bankjob? haha

fitted the matt black vzr grille too, need it painted red to match the car although i like it black it dosnt fit in well

removed and painted wiper arms as they were starting to corrode and paint was flaking off them. off to halfords for some primer and matt black all good as new now!

also fitted boot struts onto the bonnet for handiness sake, no more bonnet support, just open and lift

also raised the bonnet by about 1.5", bit too severe but i can sort that later, pics to follow
