only have to get some 4awg power wire and 2 sheets of 1" mdf

@ almera bandit - i got the dynamat extreme bulk pack off car audio direct for about 170 iirc, will cover 36 sq feet
edit - and trim my 18mm mdf parcel shelf in black fabric lol

just boughts me a jdm y0 centre console with lid for a tidy price of £28.50
also got some 4 awg last night, just need some remote power cable from hellfrauds and im nearly there
oh and some 8awg power cable for the sub and 25mm mdf and red shag pile if i can get it
sub enclosure will be made from 25mm mdf, double front baflfe 3.5cuft before displacement, 3.0cuft after displacement tuned to around 33/35hz with 2.5kwrms shoved up it

by no means is this a show standard like darrens lol, more of a, how much can i get in an almera and try to get as loud as possible lol.
im very happy with the front end, very loud, very clear, and very few rattles from the doors. the focals hit hard while being able to play the lower stuff too. ive them crossed at 80hz with a 12db slope to try and stop them from spanking the backplate at higher volumes. each driver is rated at 80wrms, im feeding them ~100wrms, bit more than the rated power of the driver but having headroom isnt a bad thing.

Looks like good work dude will look great when finished but the sound will be the main thing of course :thumb:. I don't think Darren finished his audio work yet so yes you're likely to surpass it.

the xtreme is just less than 1kg per sheet (18"x36" IIRC)
sorry, i was thinkin of naylor (blue ph2 gti, fin things on the bumper, optima yellowtop under the bonnet???), not darren. darren has the n16 yea? built the door pods not so long ago.... if so, it was him that gave me the kick up the ass to make a start at mine

jdm centre console today arrived today, but no one was in ffs

anyway.........tonight should see the start of the enclosure. 3cuft after port and sub displacement @ 33hz. probably more like 35hz due to RE box calculator being a tad off but thats what i was aiming for anyway.
enclosure will be made out of 1" MDF with a double front baffle and tie rods to brace top and bottom, front and back. dimensions are 40 wide, 16 deep, 17 high
this will probably be made in the small hours of the morning while im drunk as the GF wants to come over and 'get pissed' as she put it
