Kitty the Red GTi

Just picked up a quad throttle body for the rnn14 on ebay for £36 plus postage. Bit of fabrication work needed to make it fit the DE inlet but I reckon it'll fit with a new plate between the inlet manifold and the ITB's. TPS and AAC or IAC connections/valves all there too. Wish me luck. Don't care if I see 0.00001 BHP increase. something different for me and i know it's been done before.

been told that i need rb20det injectors and gtir rocker cover, dont know why but meh, ill try anything once. cant see it being hard

im not wanting to use the inlet plenum that covers the intake, im looking to use the itb's with trumpets so......MAF sensor.... can i do away with it by sticking a resistor on it or incorporating it into one of the intakes/trumpets?
 
just buy a high port head they bolt straight up... but you also need the injectors resstor pack.. and some form of mapping the car without a MAF.. good luck..
 
cars away to get the front and rear painted along with the vzr grille. guys had it since monday so he's nearly done :D ill get some pics up when i get it back (Y)

corbs, some one told me you are breaking a gti, Do you have a set of gti alloys you want to sell and gti phase 1 front bumper? cheers:balloon:

UPDATE 14-09-10

Bonjour all! Well Sunday seen a thorough clean and polish of the car, (went to a Honda meet, pictures here) the tar remover was also out on force due to the front wheels sitting out further than usual and the build up of tar along the passenger side was getting out of control! Really want to take pride in the GTi seeing as i just spent 500 quid getting paintwork done. Next up is the roof but that wont be for about a year as my painter is off touring the world and I know what his paintwork is like.

You will be glad to know that my G60's will be away to get banded (hopefully next month) once I find out how much to get them banded by, 2", 3" etc. As is stands, I think I will get the rears banded about 3 or possible 4 inches and the front, probably 2 inches, but this isn't definite as I need to get the rims onto the car and measure out from the lip of the rim to the edge of the arch and add to acquired taste.

Tyres will probably be 195 50 15, 45 profile will never fill the arch and 55 will be shite for stretch.

Still pondering on what colour to paint them, either white, black, gun metal or bronze. Want to get the bump strips painted red to match the car.

Also going to give things a tidy up under the bonnet, paint rocker cover, batt tray, power steering fluid can, inlet manifold etc, going to use a dark silver that my brother has lying about the house.

PS. you will be glad to know that the bonnet has been lowered a lot more.

I think he means the bootlid hinge on the right side need asjusting, as the bootlid is sitting low on one side :)

Ahhhh get ya now! Yea have noticed that myself but hey. No ones ever noticed before lol dosnt bother me in the slightest lol

Painted the valve cover off my old sr20. Cleaned down with a scratch pad and painted with hammerite hammered silver. Looks the shit but I want to go darker. My brother had the hamerite sitting about so it didn't cost me anything (Y)
