Matt's GTi

Well deserved matt :thumb: It was actually a close call while taking into account the 'show' part too but you took the trophy in the end fair and square. Congrats mate :)

Well, i don't really know what to say. Thanks very much guys. But I promise you it'll be cleaner next time you see it.

I am unbelievably chuffed though!:tt2:

I honestly dont understand how there is any room for improvement Matt. The car was MINT, and I dont meant the loose version of the word that people use to sell shit, I mean it looked like it had just rolled out of the factory, then an autoglym bomb had gone off inside and around it. Total credit to you dude.

Disc bells and calipers are the only thing that needs attention. Else the only thing to do would be work on the show part as I can see that next time you'll have a few people hot on your heels for cleanliness plus they will be more showy (myself included ;))

Well things like the exhaust and ac hoses in engine bay need polished up, rear wiper arm, air box needed cleaned and a few brackets needing powder coated. I'm not going to list everything that is wrong but hopefully i will be able post up pics of what i feel i can improve on. and show you the improvements.

Even cars coming out of the showroom need to have a full detail in my opinion.

Yeah discs and pads get done soon so calipers will get done then.

And as stated in another JAE thread, i'm just not sure what to do for the "show" part of it now. Ideas are welcome. I've a few ideas but they will mostly be OEM+.

But thanks Ed, I'm very pleased with how it's turning out, but always room for improvement

its great how it is. i would fit -40mm lowering springs just purly for looks. the rest is fine tbf.
plus it'll give others a well needed chance lol

as i always said the best trop ive ever seen
d boi

little things I picked up on are just stone chips really, its impressive how many are on the bonnet, and I noticed a little bubble of rust coming up on the front passenger arch.

I never really looked around any of the cars this year, I cant say I even got a look at Joes ziggy though I did hear it briefly as he left for Tesco's

I certainly know where I can improve if Im attending next year

I did spot all that actually matt but even they didnt let you down for the win! But if you do sort those out then it's going to be a hard car to beat.

Tried to leave you a 'Congrats' message this morning Matt - but as usual the AOC server always seems to be updating when I'm up in the morning ! Your car is a great credit both to yourself & the club dude - Well done  :thumb:

myself and Ed took the decision to ignore stone chips, they cant be helped and you'd be forever respraying/polishing the front end! Especially considering the distance Mat drove to get here.
