Have time now to sort out a lot of bits and bobs for the MOT.
It had always annoyed me that my wings didnt sit properly and looked like bad vented wings, with the result that my skirts also wouldn't fit right.
Set out to cure this, so skirts and wings off (Opportunity to grind off old bolts, and rust, then hammerite and spray)
THIS bracket is the culprit and the reason pattern wings fit badly, simply grab a pair of pliers and bend it back like so....
Voila! No gappage.
Welding should be being done by my neighbour which is good (Patch in the boot) - going to fibreglass my skirts this week and fit, then its just the driveshaft, tracking and a damn good service before the MOT left to do.

Isnt GTi rack meant to be quicker steering ratio then the 1.6's etc
