My N15 5-door GTi Build...

HAHAHAHA you mean Guy with the nissan saxo? He's a legend.. Funny times with that boy, but he can't drive for shit lol as some of you know.. His old 1.4 saxo ended up wrapped round a lamppost so I don't fancy him driving my freshly finished SR20 almera hahaha.
You crack me up Dave x

Thumbs up to the build was it expensive to do the conversion?

HAHAHAH hell yeahh!!! :D
Great definition hahaha

Price wise, what I spent on the Engine conversion only:
Primera GT SR20 with 70k, all ancilleries, gearbox, manifold, ecu, ignition barrel and keys £200
Almera GTi gearbox and driveshafts £60
Almera GTi SR20 with 80k, all ancilleries, full engine and interior loom £100
Clocks, ECU, ignition barrel, door locks, keys, nats control box etc £40
Fluids, CV boots, gaskets, other service parts for the engine swap £100

I didn't use the Primera GT engine at all because the wiring was gonna be a bastard, so I brought a GTi engine from Stu cheap.. And used that.. Along with the Primera GT gearbox and Almera GTi shafts.. So all in it cost me £300 if you don't count the primera engine, although I'm glad I brought it as I used quite a few bits off it lol. That was just to get it running standard..

I've spent more on other parts though.. Mainly stuff needed to support the engine swap, Here's a quick rundown:
GTi rear axle with handbrake cables £40ish
GTi rear calipers with redstuff pads £60
GTiR front calipers with redstuff pads £60
New standard discs all round £70ish
Stainless braided hoses £50
Dot 5.1 brake fluid (TBC)
GTi anti roll bar £20 poly bushes £15
'whiteline' Coilovers £350

Thats about all needed to make a mint GTi really. But I spent some more on modding parts for the new engine though:
Kent cams £70
Splitfire Ignition leads £50
2.5" stainless Catback exhaust system £100
Decat £25
Apexi power intake £40
& the Lightened flywheel came with the engine :D

Turbo parts I've purchased.. (not everything I need yet but I'm working on it)
GTiR turbo manifold £50
T28 in good working order £160
Pulsar 444cc injectors £40
Nismo FPR + gauge £100
Cometic MLS headgasket £70
Blitz BOV £50

Joe

get your finger out joe and get your liecence back,

still thinking small splitter on the front bumper

you do realise the pulsar inkjectors are top feed and low impedance so need resissotr packs and a different fuel rail to work dont you jo?

ive got 200sx ones :) And highly doubt ill be needed them for teh GA17DE :D

only issue i can see with them is if you look where the mesh inlet feed is between the 200sx and the GTi ones, different heights

So I had a faf around with the old GA series one.. It does fit but I'm not at all happy with it.. as you can see the top bolt that goes into the block dosen't line up at all..

I'm not satisfied with it so its coming back off.. still in need of the proper mount for the job.
Modified my gear knob also.. cut it down a bit and made it look / feel alot better:

Done some little niggly bits today with my mate.
The GTi base plates don't fit my 5 door properley.. as you can see here:
18022009033.jpg

So I stripped down the GTi mirrors.. and fitted my old SRi base plates:

Joining the wires back up..

Back on.. you can see it fits a lot better than the GTi one:

Also this looks GASH:
18022009034.jpg

So began to clean it up for paint:

Also fitted the proper GTi door lock.. Which entailed filing the actual door out!! very time consuming indeed.
