BC sent me 2 new valves which im chuffed about...fitted them yesterday. Just need to bleed the lifters and change the pulleys while I wait for the thermo spacers.

prob a glaze breaker, spring loaded honing head?

looking very promising now mate.

Any guesses on expected bhp?

I hope you're ordering a smaller ancilliary belt and ditching the A/C! :)

What did you use to hone the bores?

Yep, got the 2 belts...they will be fitted tomorrow when I get a puller for the Crank pulley.

As Cov said, He knows the name better than me. It's got 3 spring loaded claws with a stone like edge...attaches to a drill.

Hmm, there's a very similar build on the SR20forum...only difference, his is a Highport head...so the advantages of that. But he's running 180whp iirc. About 205hp.

Don't wan't to get my hopes up though.

check the dome out on the 16VE pistons...love it! to solve the problem of the head kurt just go all out and do a VE head swap with some N1 cams hehe :D

looks like its progressing nicely

should be enough to get the corsa boys running scared  that bloody 2.0 makes mine look like its a 1.6, manifold, decat and system and at silly speeds he was pulling away like it was nothing, got the lightwieght pulleys and a filter on it now as well but think ill have to leave it to you to show him SR20's rule  thought mine was pretty quick till i had a play with that

She runs!:D

Started first turn about 2 hours ago, idle is mean as fuck and it needs petrol...I just need the bolt for the oil runners then she's good to drive. Don't want to risk damaging the cams.

Looks like I`ll have to get some more power mods to keep up with guys like Kurt and their top spec builds

Can`t wait to see what kinda power it kicks out. Driven it yet?

Haha, Yeh just done about 30 miles in it. I've got the same problem as Corbs with my temp guage not working but I do have some earths unplugged.

It actually drives really well...and with abit of left foot braking it hasn't stalled yet. Gonna book it in for mapping tomorrow, then she's a gud'un.

Cheers all, past few weeks of stress, anger and testing my patience has finally paid off. Im pretty chuffed with myself:lol:

Here's a quick pic of the oil squirters which work a treat...In the top right you can see the non roller rocker.
