looking err...good lol I'm tempted to get rid of the sound deadening as I've heard it doesnt make a lot of difference, plus with my lump I could do with all the weight saving I can get let us know if you find the car more noisy after.
well im mega baffled, just cracked on a bit more with stripping the SR16, only to my amazement it has an 8CW crank so that got me thinking, so anyway i carried on and when i got the rods, pistons and crank out i measured the marks in the bores from the stroke of the piston and it measures 86mm so sometime in its life someone has already put a 2.0 crank in it. also i didnt think the SR16 came with oil squirters and mine has them, but its definitley got SR16 stamped into the block. so im still going to order new bearings etc and just rebuild the SR16 block back up as it is much much cleaner than my SR20VE block, also i get the benefit of keeping my 11.7:1 pistons as they have been notched for the oil squirters
yeh im pretty happy about it its a good job i stripped it down and never just left it there to rot lol, so i guess i best send an e-mail to greg and change my estimate lol
