Your doing all the things to your car that i wish i had time to do to mine :(, all the bits are there as well. If you get bored you can come do it for me ;)

im not touching mine over winter but im going to pounce on it in the summer, collecting all the bits gradually.

Mark, do you have all the polys aswell then?

On their way. I'm waiting to see if i can buy my blue gti back so i can remove the rear axle. That way i can get it blasted and sprayed properly and bush it!

sounds like a good plan, rear beam does get pretty rusty. Where would you get it blasted as ive got my GTi beam sitting in the shed?

latest collection in photo form :)

New wishbones
wishbone polys (black)
steering rack polys (red)
Antiroll bar and drop link bush kit (black)
Rear beam polys (blue)
New droplinks.
Apexi filter (formerly Ians)

Personally i think the drop link bushes will make a good upgrade as the ones that are on the car have turned wedge shaped!

Tasty :) Most of those I can get for the N16 and am seriously considering it.

I used to have a set of rear beam polys but couldn`t be bothered to fit `em as it looked rather involved...........let us know how it goes mate.

From what the instructions on the rear beam bushes say they are either the same part orrr the procedure is the same as N15 and N16 :)

I have no idea what the car is going to be like when these are all fitted, illlet you know at JAE lol 7.5 months to go :)

Ill take pics and a write up on the rear bushes as its not going to be a commonly done mod so should help someone in the future

I'd like to know what differences these make too. Espeically if it makes the ride a lot more harsh.

:off: JAE is in September this year.

I shold imagine the ride will be harsher as ill be removing nearly all rubber bushings from the suspension components.

Also off topic im booking a week off purely for driving my car when i get my licence back haha

sorted the apexi filter out, just got to finish the mounting bracket next.

I made the tube to keep the bore of 75mm and outside diameter at 90mm which is spot on for silcone couplings.

What you reckon?

yeap, easy to work with, reasonably light and strong :)

not sure whether i should keep the 75mm bore all the way until the throttle body though

prob wont sound anything differernt to normal tubing, although we do strap it to the boring tubes on the injection drillers at work to absorb the resonance and humming.
