my trop green gti

hope your right shag isnt their a thread about which one is better etc
but plans are for head skim of around 0.6 0.8 but havent decided yet and some porting done on the head and inlet as dont see the point in having the head done and not the inlet

Yeah but its all bollocks mate people making presumptions about stuff they probably don't know about..
ALL the SR20 heads are good...

Both flow very good.. my HP head in stock form has been compared to a WORKED Cosworth YB head.
All the heads are beautifully made from the factory.
Lowport Roller Rocker heads are a lot more efficient and more reliable due to their better lash adjusters.

RICH... Skimming the head is not the correct way to go about gaining compression though.. You get other issues like the tensioned side of the timing chain becoming longer when the head is 'decked' which upsets the cam timing...
Thats before you look at any piston to head, or valve to piston clearances.

yh i thought about what you said about it when i spoke to you but at the worst i will either put a thicker headgasket in or cam gears to sort the chain timing out. if it doesn't work well it back to where its been for the last 6 month on my drive

so head arrived today from nistro thanks again only has 70k on it but im still gonna have t all cleaned up and looking nice before i fit it.
its going in tomorrow to have the head skimmed my mate is inthe middle of taking out all of the valves as i right this and this will be picked up on saturday.
