N15 GTi Track Car

It's probably being picked up as we speak...
Went to Ian's last night to collect another car he was selling, he couldn't help but to take me out for a last drive.
I'm not gonna say too much as he'll get depressed, but as we all know it's one epic car.
Joe

Well its finally gone and i didn`t feel as bad as i thought i would. James ( minigt ) is a sound guy, and i`m glad its gone to a good home.

It even looks like it was made for a trailer:

i was sitting humming it and could almost get to the weepy stage lol.

it went to a good home and is still in the club

wow lump in my throat has just gone massive seeing the photo of your daughter in the car i remember you first putting up the thread when see was born. its like a family pet has just died or something for not just you but all the aoc family seeing your car go.

Just want to do a few small jobs first like move the seat for one, (I can't actually drive it very easily at the moment) then hopefully do a couple of track days this year.

Over the winter fit a roll cage, polycarbonate windows, cut off switch, move the brake lines inside and remove the abs pump. Maybe fit a flat floor.

I would also quite like to enter a race series, maybe the MSV trackday trophy or something.

Those are just the kind of things i wanted to do to the car, but now dont have the time or money to do it. Thats why it was sold.

Isn`t it over the power limit for the MSV trackday trophy?

pfft just get it on a low reading dyno :P

im gutted and pleased for you ian the car looks to be going to a good home you got what you needed for her i hope so its the best outcome apart from keeping it...

always sad to see your car go..

There are 4 classes the highest class is no more than 200bhp per ton, this is based on whp so it is close but will just sneak under at the moment.

The car will need to meet MSA regulations, so with the addition of a roll cage and a few other items even with polycarb windows it is going to be slightly heavier than it is now so should still comfortably under 200bhp per ton.

I was insane to sell this car and i've been a grumpy bastard ever since.
When i sold it to James one of the last things i said was `if you ever want to sell, let me know first`...so when a few months back i had a PM off James i was delighted to know that due to a change in circumstances he had to sell, or even break her for parts....NO!
After a few seconds of pondering the situation i decided to buy her back.

Off i went today paying what i sold her for.
James has done the following:

Complete ABS removal
Refitted PAS
New fr discs, bottom ball joints, steering rack bushes & track rod ends
Tidied up the interior and door panels with alu sheet
New front tyres fitted with alignment

She drove like a dream back home, after i've negotiated the bumpiest dirt track in the UK, and i must admit the PAS felt good ( maybe i'm getting old! ).

She got a bit dirty, and was covered in a few patches of weird tar, but scrubbed up well.
Everything appears just how i left it....just bit dissapointed that there was a rip in my car cover.

I'll get some more pics up soon lads.
