yeah i know mate, i was just hoping to have it ready so i could put it down the line, but it will just have to wait till next time  just the exhaust to do for it to be roadworthy, which should be straightforward enough, i think lol
well I'm glad it's done. This is why I stripped the loom down and built it up on the bench and made sure it started before it went into the car.thanks yeah it was a bit of a pain as I ended up having to strip near the whole engine loom, and that's a lot of plastic conduit and tape lol, and of course it would have been much easier if I'd done it before I put the engine in but at least its done now
sorry, I thought with you saying you had to strip the loom that you had wiring trouble, luckily for me I came accross a ve maf from hally pretty much by chance! well off to do the exhaust today, maybe be driving it by the end of the day :shades:
well I stripped down the loom to work out what wire does what so I can learn more about it (I also done the conversion at my own pace so when it was done it was done rather then rushing it). Also I ran some extra wires when it was stripped down to bare bone so I could run extra wires in for gauges*so that I don't have to run wires all over the place when I need to fit gauges. I think my MAF is the same as the VE MAF or Autech one. Its the one with the cast design similar to the P10 ones but has a Almera GTi MAF plug. (larger diameter with a smaller hole and a seprate hole for the sensor, I know that Dale plugged his GTi MAF straight into his Autech)sorry, I thought with you saying you had to strip the loom that you had wiring trouble, luckily for me I came accross a ve maf from hally pretty much by chance! well off to do the exhaust today, maybe be driving it by the end of the day :shades:
