N16 SR16VE

thanks guys :), but slammed on nice offset wheels, along with a clean and some bumper care on the plastics and tyres can make the plainest of cars look decent enough, but as anyone who's seen her up close will tell you these photos hide a multitude of sins in the horrible z10 'solid red' paintwork :puke: but as willie says this will be rectified in the not to distant future :)

Really looking good phil, liking the last few mods even the wheel lol thought you might of Been the 1st to try the n1 momo wheel on the n16 lol but looking good mate even the un kitted look which I think you should keep ;)

thanks mark :) and i may yet keep her spoilerless, but i think skirts and rear splitter (what's left of it that is, god knows what ross was doing with it lol) are needed to take it away from the dub look ;) imo the n1 wheel with the momo badge on the airbag cover is too much money for what looks, and no doubt feels like a stock n16 ph1 leather wheel, so i'll leave mods like that to those members (like you ;)) who are more affluent than me :)

definitely a minor interior update this time, as I mentioned before i needed my new steering wheel spaced a bit due to my knuckles scraping the stalks, and as a quick release hub was only going to cost a couple of quid more than a plain 20mm spacer, I opted for a quick release hub instead, and the one I chose spaces the wheel 25mm so it now sits perfect :)

its a clever design, and took less than 10 minutes to fit, it even has a way of having the horn working without unplugging/plugging in wires when you fit or remove the wheel  though I do need some more dome head/flat underside screws so I can put the horn boss back on as the old screws were made of toffee and are worn down and the new screws are countersunk and while perfect for the bare wheel they are no use for the horn boss o_O

anyway wheel on

and wheel off, takes seconds to swap and when locked in place it's solid! :)

thanks guys, liam its a pop bud, get on it :)

Gotta love the quick release on the steering wheel especially when you need to work in the car it's a godsend.

baaaaa ba ba baa ba baaaaa:LOL:

yeah tell me about it, would have made wiring in the vzr dash much easier with no wheel in the way!

good news finally, as the last of the rebuild bits for nistro's and my own engines have arrived in the Uk, got hit for a customs fee, seems as though since we've gone into recession every parcel that should have duty paid is getting caught, where as before it was only about one in four, sign of the times I suppose :-/

and it seems like me and greg from gspec are on closer terms than I thought, either that or he thinks I'm well enough known in aberdeen lol

well today was the first time i've had back seat passengers since i lowered the suspension again and suffice to say it didn't go too well, even though i have rolled my arches o_O

turns out it was hitting the rear bumper mounting bracket and not the arch itself, so i had to mod that a little bit to make sure it clears in future! on top of that i ordered some black matt vinyl to replace the vinyl on my b pillars off of ebay, it was £8 for 2m x 20cm, the next day i was in lidl to get some apple screenwash and there is a 5m x 50cm roll of matt black vinyl for £2 fml.

and as always any post is an excuse to picwhore :)

Yeah that mount is an arse. Poor design imo. There's always something to stop us lowering our cars. What did you do to mod it? :)

i just used tin snips, and cut as close to the plastic insert as I could without it coming out and that's done the trick, also i'm running 205/55's on the rears so with 50's there may not be the same interference till lowered farther than I am
