Nah not started yet. Just finished off the beam setup today, will start fitting all teh parts after work friday and hope to have everything done by saturday afternoon. Will probably work thru the night friday

What a fucking 'mare. Its taken me 6 hours to swap the rear beam and underseal the rear arches/chassis rails.

Almost every bolt was seized, but I thought not a problem Ive got a blow torch. Worked for some. The other bolts were already round, including 1 trailing arm bracket bolts (meaning I had to mod it for the polys whilst it was still on the car = ball ache) which just happened to be the broken one I was going to be replacing. The top mount nuts were all already round, which means no lowering springs for me. 1 lower shock bolt was round, which meant I had to try and cut it off without damaging the shock. Not fun.

So pretty much a shit annoying afternoon. I just hope tomorrow is a little more productive.

Fuck dude, sorry. That's a right hassle all that :( What's your move now then?

not a great day in anyone's books mate :( but all this hard work will pay itself back once its finished ;) I hope tomorrow is better and that you don't have to resort to cutting the heads off bolts then drilling the threaded piece out, as that's a nightmare!

Been out again today and most things went to plan, reconnected the handbrake cables, remove all the front hubs/brakes/wishbones, poly'd the wishbones (took a while to get the old bushes out, lots of heat required!), removed the struts, undersealed in the arches (found quite a bit of rust in the top of the passo one :S wire brushed it all down and kurusted it first), then tried to put the front lowering springs on, tried being the key word , couldnt get the top mount nut off, its a 17mm nut with the centre having an 8mm bar to hold, the nut was tight all the way and once id ran out of 8mm bar to hold with the spanner i could go no further! So still standard susp up front now.

Was now time to reassemble, wishbones on, struts on, hubs on, new TRE on, brake brackets, disc and calipers on, new pads fitted (R34 GTT pads fit perfectly, no overhang YAY!), driver side brake line on, got to the passenger side and I couldnt get the fucker undone, ended up rounding it. So I now need a new brake pipe from MC to the front passo. Started making it, fucked up 3 flares in a row so gave up.

Didnt get home til 6ish, which meant I missed my poker tournament which started at 5 :(. Balls.

So far its taken me 14hours, ill have to go back out tomorrow morning to attempt the brake pipe again and then hopefully get it finished.
