Nismosteve's red GTi

No problem :) some feedback wouldnt go a miss :)

Cant wait to see this built, just shout if you need anything. Im sure between me and Jerk you'll be sorted in no time :)

Aaagh you must think I'm so ignorant, I didn't even see that feature:( my bad. I'm still a noob and I'm sticking to that story;)

Not too much left to get, kinda blew next weeks budget this week on injectors and the turbo lol! Gotta get this built up and repainted while I'm still single!

Nah its alright, npt many people use the feedback thing anymore anyway.

Good good, will be nice to see this progress, what sort of boost are you looking to runZ

Id say 15psi max while you're running a stock elbow. Get a 3" Custom Phil item on there and it'll run 22psi all day :)

Not sure about the lift but the duration isn't dramatically wild over standard and considering its not had any management revisions its got rock solid idle, so I guess it will be okay. Suck it and see.

If the gearbox doesn't decide it would like to wear the teech from 3rd gear in a neat pile on the bottom of the casing at 1 bar lol.

I thought the standard GTi brakes were good, but after a "spirited" drive on Saturdayi had overheated them in about 5 minutes:( and they took forever to come back. I think BEFORE this is boosted I need to address this.
It would really depress me if I took to the track with the standard brakes. Just one application from 120mph to 45mph was all it took. I'd never get a single good lap out of cadwell with these lol!

I'm going to be powder coating the hubs I have that have already been shot blasted, then I'll fit 2 new wheel bearings and get 2mm milled off the mounting lugs and 2mm off the caliper carriers so I don't need to space the disc fro the hub.

That was probably down to your brake fluid, then your pad compound. Run dot 5.1, or a race fluid, HEL braided line, standard discs and some yellowstuff pads. Redstuff if you're fussed about brake dust. This set-up would be fine on a n15 with some weight saving.
