Damo-Sri said:Yep, the elderly, parents, mates, co workers, nosey cunts. They all think your bonnet is off the release mechanism. But as long as it keeps the tepm needle lower than before (which it does on mine) i dont care.

Raised bonnet - check

It looks smart, works well with the Autech kit pretty well.
I like it so there, and that's coming from you?!
BK 17"s, induction kit, tints, 4-2-1 header, quickshift, Apex'i SAFC-II, lock and wiper smoothed off bootlid, lowered 40mm on drop springs, Powerflow SS backbox.
im with vero on this, i wont be doing it as its no good to my road car, plus it seems like another follow my leader thing. as said before, this can let water in which cant be good realy. (not my comment)Veero said:Seen a few cars going round with this mod done and yes it does just look like the bonnet has popped up.
If you need to do this then surely you have insufficient airflow and cooling for the engine application? So better to aid airflow through the grill/bumper if the rad is getting too hot, or relocate the air intake/add cold feed pipes/indicator intake hole thing to get cooler air intake?
IMO having the bonnet like that ruins the smooth lines of the car. I can fully appreciate it on a track car where the engine is run harder and hotter with conditions being hotter etc but on a road car?
Just an observation.
Gurr said:So has anyone who has raised the bonnet actually noticed water leaking into the footwells etc or is it just the ppl who ripped out the rubber weather seal?? As i do think it looks pretty sweet but I won't commit to it especially since it might damage my baby!!!
