Those costs seem a bit high. My clutch and flywheel, along with new crank and gearbox seals were fitted for £150. Not sure how long the head swap would take.......not that long though.
 
They are a bit high, its from a place called Japerformance, they seem to be the only reputable "tuning" shop in the area, so they'll have racked the prices up.
 
Currently waiting for unorthodox pulleys and in the mean time getting goodridge hoses fitted with 5.1 fluid...

Ran a new ground wire from the ground in the MAF plug to a ground on the intake runners. Its on the side behind the FPR in the picture

Cant remember why to be honest, id read somewhere about poor MAF readings and it was around the time I was having running problems with it. I think in the end it was a combination of things and largely down to a fault O2 sensor as its run perfectly since
 
Nah, the rev counter does whatever it wants. The handbrake light has been coming on as well. Clearly a bad earth somewhere. So I have a new tachometer in the middle of the clocks wired straight to the ECU and a defi display jumped off that and the ECU to display speed / revs on the windscreen. Dont really need the dash at all now
 
Some new pictures.

Just fitted the front BC Coilovers so took the bumper off incase it was too low to get the jack out. Decided to see what it'd look like with the primers P2 GTi bumper. Its also wearing the P1 Bulge indicators as Ive snapped both plastic arms off my P2 GTi ones.

What do people think? Also a picture with one of the skirts propped up on it, not too sure myself, dont think it follows with the front splitter.
