Change of direction Daily to Track toy

Nice work, i'm looking forward to seeing the finished result.

Can't help but think that that triangular shaped moulding each side of the front bumper needs fucking off...

Are you planning on filling them?

Rear splitter mod is a must do for any kitted N16 imo, i'm waiting to see a P1 example offered up.

(Edk grille conversion please!)

Not planning on doing away with the moulding as I kinda like it, as it's grown on me. But as the bumper was only die to have minor modifications the plan isn't to remove it. But who knows what may take place over the next few days...

Hoping the rest of the subtle mods to the bumper turn it from the pigs ear it was when I bought it into well something to fill the gap of me not having found a cheaper giacuzzo splitter.

OMG If i new you where going to create an abomination with my old car i would have never sold you it.

As said over on NPOC we all have different tastes and this is a budget build unlike GTT and if I hate it in a year I'll change it as all original parts are being kept etc so nothing is permanent ;)

I don't think theres any need to be so arsy about it like you said you sold the car to him so its up to him what he does to it.

i aint getting arsy mate, good friend of Riches and he knows what i mean (i built his turbo P11) ;)

Is all just good hearted banter I accept Ant's opinion and he knows I'm my own man so the choices I make are down to me and I can more then live with them. ;)

no worries folks i'll keep my nose out. Just seemed arsey over the screen.

No need to keep your nose out a lot can come across on screen the wrong way especially when the history behind it or friendships and banter are not overly clear. :)

Day three in the big brother house...

Right today was a short day for updates as I had to shoot off to college to do my timed essays but before then I managed to grab some pics and carry out some further tidying up work to the brake callipers despite a situation with the enamel paint being too thick & needing thinners in it but I had already applied some to the calliper ;(

So no close up pics of the end result as need to rectify it so I am happy with the finish etc.

Bumper so far but John was confident he would have it on the car ready for paint by the end of the day if he didn't get any further distractions.

Now we discussed possibly fitting mesh and a vent into this area in the bumper where the triangle is and I have to decide by tomorrow if it's a go er or not as we feel filling in the triangle will leave a large void that would not look so good. So any comments on a vent in these areas please let me know your thoughts?

Surface rust on calliper some removed before I thought I'd better grab some pics

The disc was sprayed with VHT black paint three coats and the callipers were painted gold as I thought the contrast would be good with the silver car & alloys but due to the finish no close ups as I mentioned before but I am happy with the colour from a distance. Will sort the rears tomorrow...

Its the thickness of the moulding creating the triangle that bugs me...

The shape reminds me of the bumper on an Escort Maxi.

Maybe try summat similiar?

The moulding won't change at this time but a mesh may well go in if we go with that option but it will be recessed and meshed to the rear of the triangle as you called it.

I was asking if you'd thought about canards...

Narrow ones might work.

I'd vent them, it'd give that moulding a purpose if anything, atm it looks like they have been moulded in for the sake of it.

The area is quite bland without something there but as to what we shall see tomorrow, canards are a bit too much for what I'm wanting from the car etc.
