Eddie's SRi

Its not about if my mods are covered, I wanted to know if it was okay for me to remove my mods and no bother replacing them with anything. Kinda ludicrous them expecting me to spend £££ making car 100% just for them to then go and scrap it. After you have been in an accident with a young drivers/modified insurance company you expect them to answer some basic questions. I am forced to act on merely my own behalf it seems.
Eddie you have a title property of your car and nobody can't take the title property unless if you make an agreement and sign it!
so take the money of your car value from the woman's insurance company, keep your car and then its your decision what to do next with your car!

Eddie, ring the 3rd party insurers and tell them you have modifications on the car you don't want to lose, so they better send a flatbed when they come to pick it up as it will not be driveable. The assessor has already looked at it and taken pictures so they already know what it looked like before.

I know why you're worried about doing it (i.e. they turn up to find a bare shell and refuse to take it/pay out/whatever) but if you ring her insurers and TELL them what you are doing, they can't say anything to you.

If you were stripping it before it had been assessed then it would be a different story.

Ok eddie now your up get your tools and get out and strip it thing is id look at is the mods you got on the car worth more than the car if yes which it is then if you strip it you aint gunna loose them you will get payout whatever

My mods are worth in excess of £2500 'alot' more then the cars value I agree, its not about that my car wont be leaving my driveway till I sign off the car to its new owners and agree a final value. But as hally says im waiting for third party insurrance company's discression on the matter of me removing parts from the car that are of value to me and ultimately rare. Unless they want to give me a cheque for over 3000 then they can expect to pickup my car on a flatbed

You wont get £3k cause you have £2500 of goodies on it.

You'll get the book price according to Glass guide. Reckon you'll get offered about £1k

Yeah exactly they would just laugh, so hence my validation for me removing parts since they wont pay out for the value of them

Just need to inform them of what my intentions are so they cant turn round and complain when they pick car up with its legs cutt off

Right ive wrang 3rd party insurrance forced them to put notes on the system giving instruction I intend to remove rare and valueble personal parts etc. All advice etc they have is a little vauge... but perhaps the most important bit of information once the cheque for value of the car has been sent regardless of weather its been accepted or not the car is no longer my proporty and they will want to collect the car. I can instruct the will to retain the car for salvage myself, but that isnt allways granted.

In otherwords, who can help me strip the car asap.

Im off work all this week!

In order of parts to come off first:

4-2-1 Manifold/One peice catback system (requires rear axle partial separation)

Then front engine brace with poly mounts on!

Brakes/Hoses/discs/calipers/Pads etc & Coilovers off

Then put SRi alloys on.. car is now just a rolling shell.

Bodykit and any other recommendations or deemed fit at the time ;)

I will supply food/beverages etc

Eddie, theres no need to bump within 4 hours

Less time on here, get the angle grinder in hand and get stripping bits off it...

the car wont roll with no suspension, at stufas bbq we put alloys under the arches with no suspension and the car was on the ground, wheels running arches.

christ you coulda had it stripped by now.

as for the boot not opening, pull release lever, crawl inside and kick the fucker open :D

Hence the angle grinder eddie. Just cut it near the rear beam, then when refitting, either use a sleeve clamp, or get flanges welded on...simples...

2 minutes with a hacksaw, 2mm pipe missing aint gonna harm it when rewelded. get it donnnnnnne your faffferrrr :D

Im taking anything of value off, and unique such as smoothed doors. There isnt really much left to the car, and GA engines arent exactly highly sort after
