Using foam won't work unless the fibreglassing you are doing will replace most of it.

You really need to intertwine the plastic bumper and fiberglass where they meet for strength otherwise it'll crack.

This might give u an idea about how fiberglass needs to be used to work with plastic. The reason is that fiberglass doesn't actually bond with it so you need to create a mechanical link.

Think of it like liquid staples.

Yea i need to overlap the fiberglass o to the plastic and drill some holes so it holds on. Should i fibreglass it to the rear of the bumper as well just for more strength ?

Yes, as much binding and holes through the plastic as possible. Use model chicken mesh too (not the chap from Halfords as its too fine).

Ah ok, ill have a look for some. So try and drill a decent amount of holes along where Im fibreglassing yea? Any other tips

Taper the holes to stop any slipping or movement of the FRP. You can use card to form the right shapes, build up the FRP then sand back down.

Buy the Mirka Abranet hand sander. Best ever for body work like this.

Bad news, cars doing the same thing again when it broke down last. Not gettin any fault codes off it at all though. My dad drove it to pick his mate up and headed into town, then when i was driving it back it started loosing power on the onramp not the bridge then was fine on the flat but did the same goin up the start of the dualer which has a slight hill. Took it out today tried goin up a steep brae and it died. Idles fine and pulled few connectors off and then it seemed fine. So my dad took it to the bottom of the brae and drove it back up and it was fine, then we where away to head to town after stopping at the house it it died again. Still idle fine and the reps will go all way but take it to bout 5000 and the reps almost completely die when it gets to idle. Also sounds like the exhaust spits a bit.

Any ideas ? Really don't wana put it in garage its my last resort right now as no cash spare

Timing chain is stretched. But its hard to know for sure if its not throwing codes.

you think its maybe just throughing the timing off every so often ? and is it expensive to get the chain replaced ?

Are you mechanically minded? You can do it in a few hours if you are. They are actually quite nice to do and i can run you through it from memory.

Yea i am. Wana make sure its Deff the timing belt though, as don't wana be throwing money away i don't have. Unless its something wrong within the fuel system

That's what iv been told as well just the haynes manual says different. Not sure if its Fuel problem or not, one of my dads mates said that it could be the fly by wire (think that's what its called) on the throttle body needs to be recalibrated if you renew the maf sensor.
