Kristians Ph2 GTI+T

Car rolled out yesterday, and the new clutch and fly are great.. Real bite..!

However Ive got an oil leak on the steel sump which is a bit gay, theres a vacume problem killing the idle and theres a bad missfire over 4.5k RPM ish.. still engine sounds nice and healty..

will only get a chance to look at it next week now.. busy busy busy lol..

Pics of build later today..

OK, well all the teething problems with the Gti turbo have now been Sorted..

Ive just been for a Power Run.. to see how the engine is and check the fueling..

The Car is now running 241bhp and 230 Lb-Ft of torque with the Boost Set at 0.5 Bar... up from a mere 0.35bar

Its Running Slightly Rich now From both a reliability standpoint and that I think the Apexi Management isn't up to satisfactory Control from this point onwards.. Its functioning very well, I would just like further control now..

Still.. goes like a rocket! Its really starting to feel the bite that my old turbo Micra used to have..

The new 6-puck Clutch and Fidanza Flywheel are bedded in nicely and I'm very impressed...

I can now get round to dressing the engine bay properly and finishing off the front bumper before moving on..

Then ill be sticking some Artsy fartsy pics up !..

From here now is Probably E-manage ultimate and new 3'' back exhaust -> upping the boost

Coilovers and better brakes.. ( List keeps growing! )

With the building game the way it is.. my finances are more stretched than ever..

So i'm putting the car in storage for a while.. Not really hard a chance to set-up everything exactly how I want it..

Im hoping after xmas at some point to have the funds to get the coilovers, big brakes and new management That I want..

Still - 240bhp atm..

3'' system and boost increase when the new walbro unit and 44's arein should see Nearer 300..

Also got a full respray in the works.. Im actually going to start the panels soon.. while im painting other things..

Leaving only the rear quarters and roof to do once its in the workshop..

..Any ideas on color?? lol Ive actually already got the paint!! lol..

No,

Im keeping the body mods subtle.. if anybody remembers my white turbo Micra?? similar style with the body.. The et15 16x9 Borbets fit the N15 chassis perfectly..

For me its the perfect stance on an N15, with arches filled both front and back.. The usual 17's that people fit have awful offset at the back.. even the Standard GTI alloys ..

As im on the breadline now its all going to be in dribs and drabs.. but I intend on keeping it moving so that I don't lose all interest and sell up..

The reason im respraying is due to the age of he car.. although seriously clean underneath.. its got a few suface scratches on pretty much all the noticable places.. Also the reason im changing the color ( Not staying black ) is due to me wanting somthing slightly more unique..

Black ph2 GTI's are as common as any other color.. I see red and black ones all the time..

Pics of wheels painted will be next.. Probably next fortnight or so..

Well... from 'Euro tastic' to 'JDM tyte'

Any guesses on the color yet?

..bit of help actually - what product is best for re-attatching the splitter and skirts..?

Using the oem type fitment?..

Im not smoothing in..

Cheers

Im deleting the towing eye cover.. so bridging and shaping..

los of smoothing and opening up.. Starting to take shape now..

lowered the bottom lip of the opening, removed inner reveals on old fog recesses and built reveal along bottom to try and replicate oem design.. this is paramount for airflow while still trying to look decent..

Also splitter is now smoothed in.. only subtly though.. These are in-progress pics, its almost finished now.. so please save judgment to then..

Those wheels are mint mate, fitted pictures asap!!

The work you're doing on the mera bumper is coming along nicely, just don't get carried away haha

Good progress mate!

Its to build up big gaps before applying normal bodyfiller.
As if you imagine, you couldn't fill that solid with filler Ed.
:)
