My ph2 GTi

cant wait to see this go, decent power in a light shell and a decent chassis on track, going to be embarassing alot of expensive cars.

when will it be up and running? il be VE by the end of summer, pick the engine up from the docks in the next few days, be good to get them both on track and see how much i loose with the extra weight, may need a few pointers once mine arrives if your up for it? thinking while its out S+R and n1 cams would be a good idea, like yours il be on track with it a fair bit so any safety measure is a good idea imo.

Cheers, should be done in about 2 weeks, then get it mapped and any other niggles I'll encounter. Will keep a look out for a cheap half day at Oulton, to give it a shake down. Let us know if you need a hand with anything.

yeah i wounder if these would be alright for a 5 figure rev limit.

I'm sure they can, well the 130lb Supertech definately can as that's what Mazworx use. But I don't think the bottom end would.

Update. Just needs Oil, filter, belts, a breather for the PS lines, manifold back on, shafts back in hubs and solenoids wiring in.

Nice work Kurt, good to see it coming together for you.
You've got a quality setup now on this car, should be quite potent out on track. Look forward to seeing it in action.

I love how you used the Engine Crane to support the car in mid air!

Cheers lads, will be glad to get this back on the road.

Sam, no kit or pump....will just make sure the WP belt is a good fit. ha.

Ian, it's not ready yet. It has the tune from the Hdev board on it...but that's with the 259's, so starting it up with the VE 333's will have no chance of it running lean which is a good thing. lol. I'll keep an eye on the AFR's during the bed in period, then it'll be mapped.

excited about this mate, really hope you have more luck this time around. I remember me n girth seeing this at jae last year and thinkin it was about our fave n15 there with wezz's and sam's. looks tidy, simple cool exterior mods, functional interior ones, and now fookin awesome screamin engine ones to boot. love it.

i might have missed it but what header you got for it?
