Seebeebee's P1 N16

Cheers. Always good to make the best of it with a few tweaks. As we always say, 'we'll get it in post' (no pun intended!)
Haha, I see what you did there ;). What tools do you use for the levels adjustment? Curves?

Looks really good, I'd spray the grill black personally and de-badge the rear, spoiler is looking good too is it Liam's old one?
Looks nice, how much has it been lowered out of interest front and back? Also is it on new shocks or standard?
As V-SpecII said, it's Liam's old spoiler. I had considered removing the model badge on the rear, but had yet to be set on the idea enough to actually do it! I've been meaning to colour code the boot and door trims, so I expect it would look better after that.
As for the lowering, I didn't take any before/after measurements, so I'm not sure how much lower it's gone. All 4 standard dampers were swapped out for Almera sport+ counterparts, also off of Liam's old N16. They're supposed to be 10mm lower than the standard suspension, but it's definitely dropped a whole lot more than that. Obviously there's a visible difference, but you can also tell just getting in and out of the car, and how much closer the floor is now.

There arent sport+ dampers dude, they are monroe uprated items from the factory.

I read somewhere that the springs were -10mm but not 100% hard evidence, it doesmt matter as it looks great :)

My car came with the front and rear bumper trims colour coded, I also want to do the boot one next and the door ones, just need to figure out how to get them off

The boot trim unbolts from the inside if I remember correctly. Never done it on my car, but I had a play on an N16 in a local scrap yard. You just need to remove the interior trim first. As for the door trim, its glued on with a sort of spongy double sided sticky tape. They do just peel off if you can get something flat behind them and go slowly. Just be careful not to damage the trim or the door. Again, this was something I had a play with on a scrapped Almera. I've yet to actually get around to doing it to my own car as yet, and the way things are going with money, it'll be a while before I get a chance to do anything like that again!

Sweet, I didn't realise that. The drop is definitely more than 10mm, but in no way am I complaining. It sits really nice now, and as I said, handles 1000 times better. Thanks again! :)

I'll give it a go in a few months as I'm also lacking funds, first year of insurance runs out at the end of this month so I'm saving for that. Mine needs to go lower feels more like a boat than a car!

The standard suspension on our cars is odd. They're soft and wallowy in the bends, but still manage to have a brittle ride compared to other cars of a similar type I've been in.
Get saving for a set of Apex springs, or similar. Obviously they're not going to improve the ride, but they will totally transform the handling. The car feels far more confident when cornering, and it puts up much less of a fight when turning in. I've been having a lot of fun over the the last couple of days! :)

Got round to sorting out the spoiler on today, among a bunch of other things, whilst waiting for Autoglass to turn up and fix my cracked windshield. Waited 5 hours and they never turned up. And that's after coming initially on Wednesday without the right seal, so they couldn't do it.

Anyway, enough moaning, have some pics...

Looks tidy.

I'd be real tempted to fuck those front rub strips off and smooth over where they mount.

Leave the side strips black.

Its also desperate for bodykit.

(All imo)

Looks good. Is that smiley face looking at stray tigerseal though?

Edit: looking closer that seems to be the reflection of a cloud. Nice job.

Like that style spoiler, subtle and still a little different.

Bump strips should either be all black or all colour coded. Don't know what Nissan were thinking there.

Thanks for the feedback, I'd not really considered doing anything extensive to the bumper, although that may look good. Might do a photoshop and see what it looks like. The side strips are going to be colour coded as I think they stick out too much, especially now that most of the black plastic on the car is now coloured. And as for a body kit, I'd be tempted, but with the effort and cost involved I'd rather put the money aside for a better car in the future!

As you worked out, the light patch is a cloud. I did have a little bit of excess escape from the join, but sorted it while it was still setting. Annoyingly, more escaped between the join underneath the spoiler as it was drying. It must have expanded in the heat, as it wasn't like that when i left it. Hopefully it will be fairly easy to tidy up, and even if it's not, it's in the least noticeable place, so no major worry. :)

As for the bump strips, The bumper trims were black when I got the car, and colour coded by myself a couple of months ago. I had fully intended to do the doors too, but ran out of paint and hadn't got round to doing it again. I wasn't in too much of a hurry, as like you say, it's as the higher spec models came as standard. I do agree with you though, it should be all or nothing.

Here's a photo from when I first got it last year...
