Hey Stu, yeah planning on towing it over to them on Sat. They would have had another week by then.
It'll probably mean they'll have to leave the car outside their shop - which is not very safe.

All the work should be done for free, considering the situation. One of their excuses was that they had no space; but last week I was told they had little booked in but still did not turn up.

Gonna give them a call again today.

Thanks Joe, its pretty depressing that I'm stuck with them for a simple diagnostic. Plus that I don't want to spend any more on the car other than towards 264 cams, MLS HG, Big Brakes and the normal serviceable aspects; fuel, oil, service, MOT, tax and insurance.

Last time this happened they didn't even get time to tell me what the fault was!
 
If you ever change management again, I'd go with a standard GTiR ECU remap from Horsham or something..
Hope you get it sorted in time for JAE again.. And that you get your missing parts back, or paid for :)

Not sure to be honest. It would perhaps be a civil suit of sort. Got to think long and hard about this, as they may agree not to support me post action. However, it is now beyond good will.

I'll see, I have a friend of the family who is a lawyer, I'll ask his opinion.

Thing is they are the motec authorised distributor and service supplier. I need a diagnostic to find the fault code that will indicate what's wrong with the car. Otherwise it was a sound idea.

id defo be taking it else where though and then go onto every website i know put up your troubles and send them an e-mail with link to all the posts just to let them know your pissed and there loosing themselves business being like they are...
 
They've already lost any business I might have taken them. A number of little things plus this whole issue of a remap could have been theirs. No longer.

Your right, I meant only one down south. Just got off the phone with them, it seems it may help if I get it towed there; they'll be able to look at it. So it looks like it was just down to them taking timeout to drive over 25 minutes!

That's quite right, I've no intention of recommending them. I wouldn't want anyone going through what I went through; especially since all I'm asking them is to take a look and give back my stuff - not rocket science.

It may have just been a quick fix.

I've even been more than reasonable with saying that the money owed can be exchanged for work on the car. That would help their cashflow - I guess they rather work on clients that make them money.

Surely a mass mailing from each of us stating that they're sadly mistaken if they think they're gonna get any business out of us until you get some satisfaction would produce the desired effect? Post an email address up and we'll give 'em hell...

True but I think it might have more impact 5 of us turning up in person than say 20 emails. Might be worth doing both...but then again we don't want the club done for Spam.
