Boredom is dangerous, just look at MSC, so many good cars messed up because their owners got bored and couldnt afford engine mods etc and just added tat (Not saying thats what you've done, but you get the point)

Yeah know where your coming from. The only reason I was thinking changing the chrome to a painted type is because that particular wheel got a scuff from kerbing while it was towed.

Most wheel refurbs cater for the polished metal or powder coated. Chrome is actually harder to repair and therefore not commonly an offered service. So if I fail to find one I might as well go painted. I'm sure I'll be going BS7 blue or some colour off the Nismo brand - Red would be a bit risky even if in candy.

I'll tint the rest of the lights and see how it looks. Might work, if not I could always remove the tint film. Although that wouldn't be the same for the VZR indicators as its the actual lenses that are smoked!

And no I'm not bored but at the same time not being able to use the car!

EDIT: actually just tried Red and yeah other than it looked like I drove thru pot holes filled with blood or some poor road kill met its maker, it didn't pull off very well. Now thinking of the lip covered in a Blue dragon Japanese print vinyl wrap.

So it lives? Kinda. What's the latest on day #X so far Leigh?

You know what I phoned them up yesterday and they were still installing the oil cooler system. Not sure why this would take so long. The installation bit that is. This may mean they have yet to remap it?

Its been 20 days since they picked up the car, as recorded on my facebook updates.

They asked me when I need it back and I said "Well definitely by the 4th". Bet they'll take up to that day too! May be I should have said end of this week!

Having the car decides whether Nunny is possible for me. Also I was hoping the join dArchitect at an RR day at Kent with my mate who owns the R32 who is also gonna sort me a Motec mapper to double check the car.

The saga continues...

Yes next time give them a week to do the work, max, definitely.

Seriously shoddy service, but then we all know that already.

em hmm uh hah yeah I expect a ballistic missile of an engine at this length of time.
Hope I don't have to go plan B and that anything not involving the car in all the stuff I need to get done.

Well I hope you get it back soon mate, and in good working order too. God knows you deserve it to be!

Oh and when you do, you're taking me for a spin :D

Next time say you need it tomorrow and just maybe you'll get it today.

yeah mike got a point there leigh, you knopw here quality of service and bad timing, so you should have said 2 weeks tops!

tempted to give them a call and have a rant down the phone!
