Sams VZ-R N1

I'm guessing when you remove standard wishbone it will have the metal collar in it.
The n1 wishbones are listed different on fast apparently but Im guessing most n15s have the metal collar?

The N1 wishbones have (Nismo) next to the part no. And seemingly they cannot be bought...

I will compare for any differences when I remove the old ones.

Another little thing Ive been working towards for a while now.

Had some Nylon bushes machined to sit perfectly between the arms on the shifter rod, and allow the use of the stock shoulder bolt, (No shit, stiff, notchy shifter for me)

Big shifter is large

The top half of the shifter can be rotated to put the knob closer or farther from the steering wheel.

Should achieve something like this

Have also sorted a way to transport the car for the new manifold :)

Yeah I do need a new one, just having a look at what I might want, its a different thread to my Nismo so cant use that.. not without ruining it anyway.

Never done anything with shifters before so bit of a noob question but what shifter is that and what is the benefits of what you are doing over a short shifter and a standard shifter?

short shifters are wank... as a rule.

despite the overall length of this one the bottom section below the pivot point has been extend to keep almost the same ratio as stock.

The stock shifter with poly bushes is probably the best option available, Im just looking to try something different.

Just found the gearnob off the MX5 its surprisingly heavy and went straight on so that saves me having to buy anything :)

all they do is lengthen the throw of the shifter.

Atleast this one has been designed to retain as near to stock throw as possible.

neat idea sam, i was going to opt for the same too - well the one eddie posted but it wouldn't seat perfectly with the B&M quickshift - plus the finish wasn't the same either. ive not used a car with an eBay cheap nasty short shifter but the genuine B&M unit is mint imho.

if whereby the shift knob can be positioned closer or further away from the steering wheel, is it not a loose fit all the while? how so....................

once the top of the shifter is positioned there is a grub screw to hold it in place, its a VERY tight fit going into the bottom section of the shifter, so it wont move easily anyway.

yeah well hopefully fitting will go well, should get it in this weekend.

it does need some machine work to fit, but Ive clearly found the right person :)

Wishbone bushes out, no fire, no cutting, complete bush out.
